  1. Thanks. I bought them at Hobby Lobby and cut them into smaller pieces.
  2. That's a really nice kit Calvin. I built it last year. That gold one looks Super nice.
  3. Thanks Ken.
  4. This morning I decided to go over the body one more time with the 4,000, 6,000, 8,000, and 12,000 grit in an attempt to get the paint as flat as possible without burning through. The jury is still out on this one fellows. Hoping to shoot some clear on this tomorrow and that will show if I did a good enough job of wet sanding.
  5. Your first two builds looks nice Sabeyah. Your off and running dude.
  6. Great looking Hot Rods Alan. Both are nice looking builds.
  7. I mainly use Tamiya acrylic paints thinned with off the shelf lacquer thinner. Testors in the little bottles is hit and miss but when its a hit it lays down really nice. I have yet to try any of the MCW, Scale Finishes, Splash, Gravity, etc. I like to buy most of my supplies locally and support my local hobby shop.
  8. I do appreciate it man. Thanks.
  9. Looking good so far David. Great body lines on the 57 Ford.
  10. Welcome back Jose.
  11. Thanks man. We'll see how it looks when I hit it with some clear.

Oh yeah baby, I'm diggin this one. It's a Looker for sure.
  13. Good looking Camaro James. That color looks nice on the 69.
  14. I got some paint on the body yesterday. The results were not what I expected so this morning I started wet sanding. I don't use rattle cans when I paint the bodies as it's normally hit and miss for me. I normally don't wet sand the paint but this time it needed it. I'm going to go ahead and shoot the clear on it when the weather it right. If it doesn't look right it will be stripped.

  16. I appreciate it man. Thanks.
  17. Thanks man. Yeah, some of the AMT kits are terrible on the mold lines. I stripped, sanded, and glued them on. They are being painted body color now.
  18. Thanks man. I've never tried the Duplicolor chrome paint.
  19. Thanks Andy.
  20. I appreciate it Alan. It was just the fact that it was a 41 Willy's that made this one look good.
