  1. The Big lots here in Grand Rapids didn't have ###### IMHO anyways but I did score on a 34 ford and a 57 ford all they seemed to have were the 300c, 61 ranchero, the early 70's chev p/u, escalade and some newer chev p/u and the 57 flip vette would like to have seen some of the other kits mentioned above!
  2. That is Sacrelidge................LOL!
  3. Don't forget tomorrow is the K-zoo contest
  4. I love models doesn't every redblooded male! LOL
  5. You could use the Minilites from the MPC 71-73 Mustang kit and remove the 5 lugs and replace with Grandt Line bolts for the 4 lug pattern and it would be close or from the wheels from an old Tamiya Mini Cooper.
  6. I got it right too it was the thermostat on the back wall for me!!
  7. Here is the link: http://s239.photobucket.com/albums/ff79/ra...iafilter=images The Cougar is an XR7 7litre car original!
  8. Hi Steve, I do not have a photobucket but I may have to look into it as I do have a lot of pics mostly of cars that I shot for the restaurant and they are individual pics in front in daylight also we had well over 200 cars there after the Metro- Cruise this past Sat. nite however b4 I could start shooting pics we were shut down by the police it was a big cluster you know what, that should not have happened but that is another story. I will try to set up an photobucket or a fotki an let you know!
  9. Very well done. The color looks good on that model!
  10. Very well done, I really like the patina!!
  11. My .02 pennies, I am the head judge at an IPMS contest and I can agree with the comments made here, and would like to interject some thoughts. The IPMS rules are clear and state that the quality of the build is what makes a winner. That way even an essentially out of the box build can be picked as a winner over a "wallet built" model. Yes there will always be some whizzing and moaning but we must realize that if you build for contests be prepared to be disappointed as one cannot win all the time, and first and foremost one must be happy with their build regardless of what some judges at a contest think because this is a hobby and hobbies are supposed to be recreational
  12. It is my understanding as a head judge at the K-zoo contest that the Custom moniker is associated with the type of car as it would be opposed to a replica stock that is per the IPMS rules. If you modified a bunch of things on the model you could enter it in the scratchbuilt & conversions catagory. Just my .02 pennies
  13. Hey Gang, This is where I can be found most Fri. and Sat. nites we average from around 60-100+ cars each nite and the cool thing is we get all types of cars there from bone stock classics to exotics and everthing in between, (barring weather of course) Last year after the Metro Cruise in Grand Rapids MI we had probably 160 cars there and we are expecting a lot more this year as we had just started hanging there just b4 cruise.
  14. Great pics Pat Are you by any chance cruising to Grand Rapids for the Metro-Cruise this weekend in Grand Rapids MI? or for that matter is anyone on these boards going to be there as we may have to pick a place and meet up!
  15. My Thoughts I just went over my kit I picked up Thursday and compared it to the AMT kit and the Revell offering is noticably longer and wider body but has the same wheelbase. While I like the new kit I still feel the old AMT kit still has its place. and I am thinking about a 312 T-bird special for a powerplant or an FE.
  16. I am envisioning this model sittting in the weeds with the Gunze 57 Caddy hubcaps or as a street cruiser with the slots from the Revell 55 Chevy. Just some thoughts
