    27 T rod

Built decades ago from scrap parts and an original amt body from 1961, I thought about giving it patina but opted to leave it the way it was built. Back then I used thread for plug wires. Frame and front end scratchbuilt. Engine is SBC.
  6. Looks very convincing. 👍
  7. The 34 is now complete and "under glass" for your viewing pleasure.
  8. Built from this kit. Chopped with the stock flathead and dropped front axle.
  9. Totally cool. Love the 6 cyl powerplant. 👍
  10. That belongs in the winners circle. 👍
  11. Thanks speedshift. Yes it is.
  12. Keeping the stock flathead, dropped axle, slicks, and chrome wheels, a "not rod" is born.
  13. Next the fenders get the treatment.
  14. Cutting the windshield frame to fit the chopped opening. Now in real life the wiper would interfere with the shortened frame. But in modeling life it sort of looks cool in my opinion so it stays in there. 🙂
  15. Adding material to restore the side profile of the front pillars.
  16. The top door hinges get cut off and repositioned.
  17. The roof goes back on.
  18. Refitting the rear window
  19. Removing 6 inches of meat from the cab.
  20. The roof comes off and the top half of the rear window comes out.
  21. Marking the cab. I chose to chop this one because its basically a 6 scale inch vertical drop. Easy peasy. In order to preserve the body lines the bottom half of the rear window will stay in place.
  22. Starting with this kit, which in my opinion is a very good one with lots of possibilities. Gonna chop the top and keep it simple.
