  1. Nice scratchbuilds always earn my respect !
  2. Makes me think about a IKEA commercial...
  3. Unknown to me ! But I like it when somebody builds a unique model, with personal modifications.??
  4. Do you have any connection with it ? You seem to be interested in other languages ; something that I, with all respect, did not expect from a US-citizen. You are Californian, I guess ? Or do you have Belgian ancestors ?
  5. Indeed John, only in English ! Though we speak Dutch over here, or French in the south of Belgium. Fortunately, a majority of Belgians have no problems with English.
  6. This statue or memorial can be found 8 km from my house, on the road from Oudenaarde to Brakel. It is dedicated to the American crew who was shot by the return of a mission above Germany. I post it because of the model plane. Unfortunately, this is not the first one ; a few models have already been stolen from the memorial. The pictures speak for themselves.

Looks very good, but honestly, that welder and gates in the background... Huge !
  8. Ok, in Belgium cars or motorbikes have to be 30 years old. License plates for old-timers have an 'O' as first character. You pay lower taxes, but the use of your car is limited ; not for commercial purpose or driving to the office. Looking forward to your next realisations.
  9. Well, I don't think Tamiya would add a Polish plate decal to the set. That's why a guessed you made them yourself. The picture of an old car on the plate ; is it for old-timers in Poland ?
  10. I once read that model companies can run break-even by only producing Spitfire and Me 109 planes. All the rest is for fun it seems.
  11. In Belgium, Polish people are known as car wizards. Apperently also on 1/24 scale !? That license plates ! Is there a story behind it ?
  12. Looks good anyway? Maybe the engine compartment looks too 'metallic' ? The wheathering of the underside is nice ; as I've noticed on real cars, even the cleanest one has never a neath bottom.
  13. Scale from 1/43 over 1/32 to 1/24. I prefer 1/24, but 1/43 are quicker built and take less space on the shelf. I prefer race cars like formula 1, group C or classic racers. Also the less known every-day car. I am always pleased with a model like your neighbours Kia, Peugeot, Alfa or Nissan. I'm a bit bored of all those Ferrari's, Porsches and Lambo's in the model shops. In my opinion the manufacturers have lack of inspiration and originality. Though I have to admit I'm working on a Lamborghini Diablo now. I had it as a gift, and I do it as a training to improve my skills.
  14. The seats look very special ! Nice scenery too.
  15. Thank you for the kind remarks. As I live in a small country, knowledge of languages is the key for a good international relationship !
  16. An abandoned toy from my son, buried in a dusty corner of the barn for more than a decade. I decided to restore it, as a restarting project. I managed to recover most of the parts, only the right head lamp went missing. So I made an attempt to recreate it. This was an 1/24 Maisto diecast. I stripped the red paint, and decided to make the beetle my father owned many years ago. In that car from 1975, he also gave me my first driving lessons. I presented it to him as a fathers-day gift. The blue paint is done with Motip automotive spray can, chrome with a pen. The seats are painted with Revell acrylics. Not a masterpiece but I'm satisfied with the result.
  17. Last weeks, I've been scouting here, and I admit, this forum looks great. Like many, I made models in my younger years as it stopped due to high school, girls, first job, house etc... As my son grew up, he also became a modeller in another category ; building Warhammer figures and gaming with it. Being 17 now, he is quite skilled. There's a lot I could learn from him. Covid lockdowns finally got me into it again. So we turned a room from the house into our hobby-room, where we spend time during rainy evenings. I apoligise for my English, as it is not my native language.
