Thinking I had a good time at the NNL East show today viewing some very talented modelers work and even winning a door prize, but I'm definitely glad we're heading back home and should arrive in another 30 minutes.

We made it to NJ to check into our hotel room on time. We had dinner at a great little family Italian restaurant "A Taste of Tuscany" on Valley road, Wayne NJ. The food was delicious and the portions were more than enough. Our waitress was great and she jokingly mentioned that she had been serving there for 35 years. Afterwards we hit the hot tub and pool for a good workout. We should sleep good tonight. Tomorrow is NNL East, so I'm very pleased.

Your stories end results are similar to mine yesterday. I was hearing a slight slapping/ thumping noise up front in my 2008 Equinox,so I had a friend who was a mechanic with 30 years under his belt. He replaced a wheel bearing that was bad but said all else in the front end was good. Still hearing that noise, I took it to a local reputable mechanic. He test drove it and one of his other mechanics drove it and found nothing wrong. I asked how much I owed before picking the car back up. He replied Nothing, I was floored since another shop I used to deal with wanted $70. Just to test drive it. Knowing that Rick owned a '69 GTO Judge, I took him a sealed Monogram '69 GTO Judge model kit for doing me the favor, He was more excited than I was about not having to pay. I still hear the noise so I rotated my tires today incase that was the cause, nope the noise is still present. I must be going nuts since no one else hears it..

To my previous posts of my Love affair with the '65 Valiant signet, I unfortunately will not be bringing her home. Although I am a bit disappointed, I'm not suicidal..lol. I asked the owner, "What would it take to not put the car on the trailer and go to auction?" He said, "that it was already listed and far to many inquiries have come in." Also "That he was hoping to get $7,500. and the reserve was much higher." Well that leaves me out, I was willing to go $5,000. but he has higher aspirations than I. It's a nice car but upon closer inspection, it does have some bubbling going on around both rear quarters at the tire wells, which isn't a deal breaker. While talking to him I found it was a 2 owner car and garage kept most of its life. Someone will get a really nice car on Thursday, but it will not be me. Looks like I'll be resurrecting my 1994 Silverado shortbed instead. Thanks for all the good lucks and comments.. I do appreciate the forums community. βοΈπ

It has a slant 6 with 122682.5 miles on it. I didn't get a chance to photo the engine bay. The mechanic told me that it starts right up every time. I trust him since I've known him for years. He said he had first shot at it but he has to many projects and no room to store it. It definitely has potential.

Today I fell in Love again. Although I've been married to my wonderful wife for 42 years, this new girl caught my attention and made me feel something I hadn't felt in years. She's five years younger than I, and three years younger than my wife. She's sexy in my opinion although she has more miles on her body then my wife, but that doesn't bother me one bit. Her past isn't a concern for me and I can't hold it against her either. Her current owner doesn't want her anymore and is willing to part with her. I will try my hardest to make a deal with this gentleman before he sends her to auction..π€Β°Β° Wait, What, you thought I was talking about another woman! Oh No.. I don't think I could handle having two bosses.. let me introduce you to the sweetheart that caught my eye.. I hope that we can come to an agreement before she goes off to auction. π€

This past Saturdays irk of a clogged toilet drain has been turned onto a tickle me pink moment now. With the proper tool, a 75' electric snake, the clog is no more. The toilet is back in place and all is good again. Apparently my Dad was using butt wipes and flushing them down the toilet when he owned the house. People donβt seem to understand that even if the package says "biodegradable" they are not. The evidence I pulled back out stuck to the auger head shows differently.

My irk is that I had to pull one of the new toilets that I had replaced since there seems to be a clog somewhere between the cleanout and the toilet in the 3" copper drain. I snaked it but not with a plumbing snake. That didn't work and since its Easter weekend the rental business is not open. So hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to rent an electric plumbing snake and get things back to normal. I am thankful that we have another working toilet that is not affected buy the blockage. If not, my irk would be all in capital letters.

Mostly, until they found Puff the magic dragon's carcass, which it was determined that he died of smoking too much.

I'm glad you're very resilient Bill. Definitely take the week off and recoup. You might want to check to see if that cat took out a life insurance policy on ya..π

The vette was a misprint. Not sure if it's valuable, just neat due to the error.
