Odds & Ends you'd Like to See

Now that Modelhaus is no more, the time to make the old (smaller) Formula Desert Dog tires is here. What would sweeten the deal is make them slightly bigger (but still not 1/20) but still make them to fit 1/25 wheels and mket them just as easy to make the lettering white. To me, these tires represent the dawn of the whole off-roading movement. -

This one came out really nice. Excellent work! ? -
TAny of the 3 different kits are worth every penny. The lift spindles on the front that Charles came up with are works of art. When he sent the first prototype to me, it was before it had a lift kit and I worked with him on this. The rear was fairly easy, but my front solution was a little crude although, the front wheels would still steer. His lifted spindles were much better, and I was a big fan of both the front and rear tube bumpers. Next came the modified dual carb engine and I also like the stinger exhaust he offers. Texas 3D Customs is a one stop shop for everything Baja bug model kit. 2 thumbs up. ??

Just won this "holy grail" kit on eBay. Comes with full roof and all glass. so, I'm one step closer to building something like this. I'll post pics when it arrives from New York.

Texas 3D customs makes 3 different Baja Bug Kits now. All nice.

Been kicking around ideas to build something like this using the AMT Coke pickup and the MPC GMC Deserter pickup kits. some fireball tires and lots of off-road parts from the MPC kit, as well as some Texas 3D customs winch bumpers.Might even sand off the stainless trim to give it that more "down market" work truck look.

A lot of bands have covered songs originally written by Ray Davies and the Kinks. Just another one. No, The Pretenders didn't write this one. Great tune, by the way.

Probably should go in the truck section, but. Some of those pickup truck toolboxes (aluminum diamond plate and plain steel). -
Post your truck mockups.

It's nice to have plenty of Fireball off road tires around to mock up various vehicles. This AMT C/10 is no exception. This is the Coke truck (with machine) that you can easily turn into a K/10 using the MPC Deserter GMC pickup kit. These mud kings tires from Fireball always kind of reminded me of the old Monste mudder tires from way back. Back in the day, a lot of the trucks were running these. -

When somebody does one and its readily available, I'm all over one if they make it to fit the 1/24 Monogram (now Revell). I have oa vintage kit waiting. for this camper. -
Looks great with those Cragars and Wide Ovals.

The World's fastest Indian always comes to mind. I real sleeper of a film starring one of the greats, Anthony Hopkins from a few years back. Gotta go back and watch that one again. If you've never seen it, it's totally worth a look. Way undated.g

Never noticed it and it's not really a deal breaker for me. I don't know why they even have a chrome tree. If memory serves, these things were completely devoid of any chrome. I intend to completely customize this one.
