  1. Very nice Volare Roadrunner. I remember when those hit the streets,a guy that worked for me at a gas station had a silver one while I had a '75 Duster with a day 2 look. It was like a mini car show here they were parked. The re-release of this kit is getting pricey even though it's not been around for a few years now. I built one and sold it with regrets now
  2. Thank you everyone for commenting, appreciate each and every one

  8. Thank you David glad you enjoy it. The figures are from various companies like Tamiya Campus Friends,Fujimi Mecahnic figures,Homies Figures and American Diorama link to American Diorama figures https://americandiorama.com/index.php?route=product/category&path=70

  10. thank you again all for the kind words. Even though the AMT '40 Ford kits have their quirks it's still one of my favorite kits to build.Thank you again for commenting
  11. Thank you Bob,appreciate the comment
  12. thank you everyone for the comments. The rear window molding was done freehand with a fine tip Sharpie, using Tamiya masking tape I masked around the front window molding and used a medium tip Sharpie and then removed the tape immediately. Also used Duplicolor 1K clear over the Orange,no wet sanding or polishing involved.
  13. Awesome looking Mustang Curtis, this kit has been on my radar for sometime. Anything to watch for while building it ?
  14. really sharp build Andy and great work on the detailing. Thanks for showing it
  15. nothing fancy or well detailed. Pretty sure we all know how the trim on these bodies can be difficult to do because of how faint they are. The hood itself was an adventure because there just wasn't enough edge to follow,so all in all it is what it is. Color is Tamiya Orange, used Modelhaus American mags and AMT Parts Pack Goodyear Polyglas white lettered tires. Thanks for looking and Happy Modeling
  16. Hey there Gary thanks for commenting. All the bins came from Harbor Freight, as of now they don't carry the blue and gray ones only the yellow ones
  17. yep, easy peasy. Thank you for commenting John
  18. Revell did the Stacy David Hiboy or Roadster if you will and then released it again
  19. We are a small group of modelers who are spread out through Central Illinois but always have a good turnout every month(always a Sunday) at our meeting place which is Slot & Wings Hobbies in Champaign,Illinois. Here is the link to our last 93 meetings with the next one coming up on May 18th. https://public.fotki.com/62704/model-car-related-albums/cisab-club-meetings/
  20. thank you Larry, took some time too build but I'm happy with it
  21. thank you Jeff and Steve. Steve, watch for the frame being warped, I had a few of those but when mounted to the underside of the running boards it straightened it up and no free wheeling tire in the air
  22. I too use LA Awesome but it will not take the chrome off in some kits, the re-release of the Stacy David Hiboy for example. I let some parts sit for a couple days and nothing so I ended up doing a light sanding to remove it
