  1. In my humble opinion, the 67 is the best looking of all Camaros.
  2. I’ve got the stance where I want it, need to cut the rear wheel back a bit so they fit just inside the fender. This was an open kit from a garage sale and one of the headers was missing so I dabbed up some. Dave.
  3. Interior is ready. Got the rocker panel paint on this morning and waiting for it to dry. Dave.
  4. Removed the exhaust and suspension from the chassis. I’ve got to come up with a way to improve the front suspension. Dave.
  5. Decided to go with the headers, got the hemi, suspension and exhaust installed but I forgot to paint the drive shaft… grrr. That’s gonna take a bit of finagling with everything else installed. Decided not to run fuel and brake lines on this one like I did the Chevelle, that was a complete pain in the. The firewall, inner fenders and radiator core support was a bit of a challenge and I’ve got my fingers crossed that everything fits in the body when the time comes. Dave.
  6. This one is marked 1986. Where can I find information on kit release dates.
  7. Not on this kit.
  8. Just picked this one up at a garage sale. $3.00…. I’m not going to build it like the custom on the box, seems a bit ridiculous. Dave.
  9. Thank you.
  10. Thank you so much.
  11. Got the blue on the body, now wait till I can mask it off and I’m going to paint the lower section a grey. Built a set of headers, not sure if I’ll use them or not. Dave.
  12. Hemi is wired and plumbed, pics with and without air cleaner.
  13. No… fat thumb?
  14. Now she’s done.
  15. You’re right, I forgot the exhaust tips and the gutters do need to be done.
  16. This was a great project, I thought the kits details were good and assembly went better than my others. The interior started really good but I used a satin clear on it and some of the black wrinkled. I used a Testors rattle can on it and I won’t be using anything from the hardware store on my bodies again, Testors or Tamiya until I can afford an airbrush… yes I’m hooked and have so many ideas for projects that I’m afraid my wife is going to kill me. Well thanks for looking and the comments, now I’m off to the GTX. Dave.
  17. Just got this kit, this has always been my dream car. A friend of mines cousin had a 69 hardtop, hemi with 4:10s. I got to ride in it once and it would make you feel like you were part of the seat. Im going to build this in the style I like, 1970s, wider rear tires, higher stance in the rear etc… I’ve got a Mopar power steering pump and belt set that I’m going to add, headers (going to try making my own) and paint it a blue of some sort with white interior. Got the Hemi started already. Thanks for looking Dave.
  18. Chevelle is coming to the end of the build. Still have the exhaust to do and touch up a couple areas.
  19. Thank you for the tip.
  20. That top is fantastic. I just finished my stock 66 and want to build another but custom.
  21. I used just a polish on the paint and think it looks okay. Got the foil on the window trim and door handles and set the body on top of the chassis… didn’t want to place it all the way down yet but it gives an idea of the finished look. I’ve been kicking around trying to use the white stripe decals that came with the kit, I really like that look but I don’t know if I want to risk messing up the paint. Thoughts? Dave.
  22. Color and clear is on. Now I’ll wait till next week to rub it out. Fingers crossed. Dave.
  23. Thank you. Got the valve cover issue corrected that Monty pointed out too.
  24. Got the chassis painted and the drivetrain installed. This kit didn’t come with shocks and I didn’t have any so I made a couple. They don’t mount on the rear ended like stock but they’ll do. Ran the rear brake lines and the rear section of the fuel line ran, I’m not going to do a return fuel line and I used brass rod for the brake line above the rear ended because I had installed the differential first and the brass was easier to work with in the limited space. Figured out a way to run disks up front. I drilled op through the floor pan to try and simulate the fuel and brake lines running through one of the cross members. I’ve had the body painted with Testors flake green and went to try and rub it out and noticed one door was darker than the rest of the body… don’t know why unless I got a thicker coat right there but weird that it was only on a door. Anyway, I sanded it with 800 the 1500 and resprayed it, will see if it turns out, Luther wise I guess it’s going in the pond. Thanks for looking. Dave.
