  1. No need to explain. The sweater maybe, but not the photo in general. Just coin of the public realm. I was just thinking the next time I was in GA and needed my Nash serviced who to go see. First thing that popped up.
  2. That people say things and explain it by saying they said it? I simply mean, that's pointless. Maybe your point was to post something pointless? Your logic is, well, unique.
  3. I am, so what was this supposed to mean?
  4. I hope NitOwl will match your bet! This would be a battle of the stashes!
  5. Both MPC "Bond" kits were Airfix tools. It is unlikely the molds ever left England. The DB-5 Bond car was retooled into a DB-6 so that version is certainly gone,, and was released by MPC after the Bond kit's run. The the MPC release of the 200GT was the first revision of that tool, most of the Bond gadgets were omitted. However, that kit was converted to a 2000GT hardtop (fastback not the fictional clear hardtop in the roadster kit). All of the vintage 1/24 Airfix car tooling has been out of production since the 1960s, and are presumed lost with all the other tooling that hasn't been reissued by Airfix/Heller many times since. The Bond/Oddjob 1/12 figures and the 1/24 Bond Autogyro kit have been reissued many times since the 1990s. As you can probably tell I am a James Bond fan.
  6. One thing about this thread regarding what is/isn't left from Aurora is that Atlantis has reissued several military subjects that "insiders" at Monogram and Revell had insisted were gone forever. To name but 2 the Cheyenne and Hup helicopters were oft-requested models not available since the 1960s which had been inquired about for private runs. The response was always "no longer exists" and lo and behold here they are. One would assume based on that there may be a surprise or 2 in the vault. The 1/32 Monogram glue cars like the '71 T/A, Nova and 1982 Z28 have been off the market almost 40 years. Guessing not many saw those coming.
  7. Ever heard the phrase "petty tyrant"? Straw-man much? You know, maybe it explains it all that apparently you didn't mean ANY disrespect there, and obviously think those types of comments are high compliments. That pretty much describes a petty tyranny. Acting to prevent any assumed violation occurs even if there is no legitimate evidence that anything will actually happen. Seriously, you folks think that thread moderation is tyranny. I just want to get straight. Not one but two of you used that word to describe the removal of a thread (not in any way about model cars, it should be noted). You agreed to terms-of-service. Seems simple enough, but apparently in the world where it's considered tyranny to have a TOS agreement you don't agree with 100% of the time, I guess I can see how you'd be stirred to your righteous cause. Fight the power! If this is the biggest problem you have today, I hope you never have any actual important problems confront you in life.
  8. Wow. I was thinking of joining but I'm not sure I want to. People resorting to insults and unpleasant behaviour because they can't post political rants? Is this really what this forum is all about?
