Gene, what a great deal on a beautiful model! Thanks for posting.

Here are 6 Hubley school buses. Three are original and 3 are redone. The first 2 photos shoe the redone ones. The second 2 photos show the original ones. They were called Real Toys in the USA and Real Types in Canada. You can see the different names in the chassis photos. Next there are photos of all 6. I guess you can tell I like school buses! The last 5 photos are of one I changed to a 57 Chevy using parts from a Revell Stake truck model. I rode to high school in one like this back in the late 60's. I added more accurate tires to the 3 modified buses and made interiors for all of them as they did not come with an interior. Feel free to comment or ask questions and thanks for looking. I have a lot of the Real Toys and Real Types cars too that I may show at some point.

Some old ones--Dinky 1961 Pontiac ambulances (all original)

Jim, those are all original paint. I did a slight bit of touchup on a couple of them. Thanks for asking. I agree Dinky made some nice cars that were quite accurate. -Rich -
All very nice builds. The Challenger looks a lot like my 1:1 but not quite the same color green.

Hi Bart, I'm not sure if these are 1/25 but if you can use them let me know. The clear lens lens on the light can easily be tinted if you want a different color. Rich

This is an older Jada. It took quite a while to find a couple of these that were low enough in price. I've detailed the white one and the blue one you see in some photos is as it came. I painted the roof blue, used AMT Chevelle hubcaps and Firestone Supreme tires, painted the engine, and added some detail to the chassis (see before and after photos), and added a better side mirror. I painted and detailed the interior using decals on the seats. I added foil trim to the body, blacked out the grille, foiled the aluminum panels on the bumpers so they aren't as shiny, and a few other things. For a cheap diecast I don't think it turned out too bad. The grille and front bumper are a bit off but from most angles the model looks okay. I hope you like the photos and feel free to comment. Thanks for looking -Rich

Thanks, my uncle had a white 61 wagon. I still have great memories of it. I'm glad you enjoyed seeing them! I'm not sure if it's accurate enough to copy to 1/25 scale. A 1/25 model would be great. Please post it if you ever do one. Sadly, I gave most of my original diecasts to my younger stepbrothers. Needless to say, they were all destroyed. -

Thank you for your remarks on these two and the others you commented on. I agree about the 1/43 kits AMT made. They did a great job on them and the 1/32 series too. -Rich -
Eric, I appreciate your comments. There will be more models coming. Rich

I always liked 61 Pontiacs and for years these were about the only ones available. They are pretty accurate, especially considering when they were made and that they were toys. Dinky made them in a number of variations in detail painting, shades of colors, finish on chassis, etc. If you look carefully you can see some of the differences. I wasn't sure if there would be much interest in diecasts this old but thought I'd give it a try. Feel free to comment, whether good or bad. -Rich

Thank you very much -
Hi Alan, I ordered the interiors from Modelhaus while they were still operating. I don't know of anyone making them right now but you might find one on Ebay if you keep looking. I wish I had taken good photos of the interior before I assembled the car. The dashboard is the best part. -Rich

Douglas, thanks for your very kind words, I appreciate them. I just saw your 59, it looks great too! I finally decided a year or so ago to build one of my NOS 59 Olds kits. It's painted in the correct Golden Mist Poly with a white roof. It's on my list to finish soon. I tend to paint bodies in groups and painted about 25 a year or so ago. Then I finish them one by one. Right now it's the Revell 62 Imperial 4 door. -Rich

Thank you Larry and John

Looks fabulous, Douglas. The colors are great and I love Oldsmobiles. I also like 4 doors (and any flat tops) -Rich.

Glad I was able to help out.

Thank you Tom. I tend to like the less often seen cars. That goes for my models and my 1:1's. -Rich

Absolutely beautiful, Terry! I have come to really like these old Monogram kits too and have quite a few to build if I live long enough. I have an original built Red Chariot, Yellow Jacket, and Blue Beetle. I just polished the plastic on them, no need for paint.
