Project Terminator
Saltie Olds replied to Saltie Olds's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
I’ll be posting a couple more pictures of the truck itself, but when I’m completed with this build, I’ll post the final pictures in the Under Glass section under the same name. I have a Project Terminator II build in mind. So when I have everything needed for that build, I’ll be posting it here. -
Mr. Bean Land Rover 109
Saltie Olds replied to Saltie Olds's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Actually he didn’t. But I built it like his Mini Cooper, as if he had one. -
Here’s my next big rig build. I’m going to be stretching the frame on the Papa Truck to accept the W900 cab and nose. I’ll also use the Papa Truck cab to stretch the sleeper, on the W900. More than likely, I won’t be using the side skirts going down the sides of the truck. It’ll be painted all black and maybe some dark gray.

I have the trailer finished. I’ll post it’s pictures when I get the truck finished. But here’s one that I’ll share now, of the trailer. -
Kenworth T800 Conversion

Sounds like I’m going to have to do a lot of kit bashing on this project. Not to me soon a lot of research on the T800. -
Kenworth T800 Conversion

Oh Fun. So what would a good kit be to start with, for suspension and engine? The early Aerodyne sleeper, that the Revell Germany kit has, is perfect for the custom sleeper I’m going for. -

That’s Awesome Looking. I tried emailing him, but haven’t heard back from him yet. So I’m thinking I might have to do my own conversion. -

I got these parts painted, for the trailer, and when the paint is dry, I’ll glue them to the trailer. But I’ll wait on posting those pictures, for the truck to be done. -

Here’s the trailer to my build. I just need to add a few more parts, then it’ll be completed. I’m loving how well this is going together and turning out. -

Instead of keeping this as an ashtray, I’m turning it into my version of a Terminator T800 eye. So the truck itself could be controlled by Skynet or any T800 Terminator, without anything, or anyone, behind the wheel of the truck. -

That’s looking really awesome. Still can’t wait until it’s completed. -

I was able to finish painting the trailer today, YAY. So now I just have to finish building it and that part of my build will be done. -

LOL, Thank You. I don’t have anything big enough to paint the trailer, so I had to hold it in one hand. Soon I’ll be able to finish painting it. -
Kenworth T800 Conversion
Saltie Olds replied to Saltie Olds's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Great, Thank You. I’m thinking getting two of those and do a custom stretched sleeper. But so that I could have the exposed fuel tanks and side steps, and to make it easier to modify the hood, I’m planning on kit bashing it with the Revell W900 as well. -
Kenworth T800 Conversion
Saltie Olds replied to Saltie Olds's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Thank You for all the info. Now I know if I want a incorrect KW cement mixer, I could get just the hood and body from the AMT T600 and put it in their KW mixer truck. Then while I’m at it, make the T600 hood look like a T800 hood. I’m thinking I’ll be better off with the Revell KW T600 kit and do some kit bashing with the W900, or the T900, and make my own T800. -

So then, would I be better off on getting a Revell, or maybe a AMT, KW T600 and converting it into a T800? -

I’ve started painting the trailer. In a couple few days, I’ll be able to finish painting the trailer. -
Does anyone know about any Kenworth T800 conversions for any of the AMT W925 or Revell W900 Kenworth kits? Like this Kenworth T800 truck? Thank You.
