  1. Thanks everyone! Am finding this forum to be a huge source of info and insight.
  2. Glad to hear that Carl. Those type injuries are no joke.
  3. Thanks for the stalemates link. Found an instruction sheet I’d been looking for.
  4. Can I ask what you used to cut the cab doors with?
  5. Jeff, so sorry to hear of your loss. I’ve been thru that more times than I care to remember and I know how very difficult it is. Jerry, sure hope that will be the end of that chapter and you can have many more happy years together.
  6. This is Alistair, he’s 80lb. of go, go, go always busy. Can always count on him to put a smile on my face.
  7. That is a wonderful thing. Same event happened just last week at the end of our road, wife drove by just in time to witness it.
  8. Yes, this kit can test your patience. Lots of fit issues that required “adjustments” along the way. The front suspension has, to me, been the biggest issue. It has spent lots of time just sitting, so it won’t end up meeting the wall at high speed. Hoping I can get mine done sooner than later.
  9. I have seen certain types of pen caps used to make the body of the siren. Just need to find an appropriate part to attach to the front, and some sprue shaped into a mounting base. Some of those had a red lens in the front, so that’s an idea as well.
  10. Very nice. Makes me think of my 72 Duster. Wish I had that car now.
  11. Wow, that blade is impressive! Nice work.
  12. Thanks! It’s the Trumpeter ALF Eagle pumper
  13. Yes, radios aftermarket. Belts added for effect, hard to get exactly right as they have to work with the air packs, so I just popped those in.
  14. Some pics of: pumphouse, chassis, and the finished interior.
  15. Where are you getting the tires and wheels? I’ve been searching without much success. Guess I haven’t looked in the right place. Thanks in advance.
  16. Hello, I have been building for more years than I care to remember. Over the years I have built just about everything. But at this point in my life I have settled on fire trucks and emergency vehicles. Have lurked here for quite a while, but decided to join in. Joe
