  1. WOW, not a single reply. Yes, I was also speechless when I found this thread. What a brilliant idea it is. We should start the same.
  2. Hey, where I was today I got free beer!
  3. I actually thought it was named after the islands where their owners launder their drug money. But I stand corrected.
  4. Jaguar (Bertone) Pirana, but that was also a show car. Porsche Cayman
  5. Wicked colour on that Poncho. What is it?
  6. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/338226/page/0/fpart/1/vc/1
  7. I want a brandy. And a cigar. Thank you.
  8. Is this from the guy in Korea or Hong-Kong who never packs the kits in cartons? Just wraps them in this greenish paper? I'll never buy from him again. Buyers, beware!
  9. Too bad it isn't a Munster Koach.
  10. The next candidate: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/nissan-caravan-with-motor_W0QQitemZ270534078860QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_ToysGames_ModelKits_ModelKits_JN?hash=item3efd16718c
  11. Lightyears ahead, lemme tellya.
  12. What ever happened to brandy and cigars?
  13. I just think his outlook on reality is too different from the rest of the world's. If you want a tammy lola, go shop elsewhere.
  14. Irrespective of the outcome, I just wouldn't do this kind of stuff with my prized collectible car. I've seen it being done at meetings and found it stupid. This is how not to treat and old car. Cars intended to do burnouts are modified accordingly.
  15. I wrote it before and I write it again: I am still looking forward to the in depth tutorial you announced for making real leather interiors. Remember, you have already shown us pics of the hides you are going to use, the tan and the almost white one. But for some inexplicable reason, somebody locked the thread.
  16. Usually screws are provided to affix them to the kingpins, right? I used longer screws and made shims to take out the play from round Evergreen tubing. Poblem is you can then only display your model with the front wheels straight, since the already generous scrub radius is amplified. Widening the rear track should be pretty straightforward.
  17. OK, the reissue listed for 75$ sold for 168$ in the end. Stiff, but that's what is paid for them obviously. Now, if I'm VERY optimistic, a mint first release may bring twice the amount, provided you indeed find a collector of Tamiya 1/12 kits, which may be tough outside Japan. 7500$? Either these guys know something all of us don't know, or it's the kind of optimism of the man thinking his wife gave up smoking cigarettes when he starts finding cigar butts around the house.
  18. What do you call these round things you invented? You know, the ones you put underneath the Corvette?
  19. The Grant King race team is in my 1977 AMT catalog if that counts for something.
  20. Only the wheels/wheel covers. Everything else did make it into 1973.
