  1. Thanks guys, The color is 69 Dodge Code T5 Copper Poly. MCW sells it in lacquer. Great stuff to work with. Don
  2. Steve, BTW where did the Dodge ornament for the rear seat come from? Don
  3. Steve, The flat 69 Coronet hood is from a seller on ebay under the name tangtang2. They dont have anything listed right now however last week they did. Im sure they will list again soon as they list about twice a month. I just received three items from them 3 days ago including a 71 Demon body and 69 and 70 R/T tailight panel conversions that are awesome. Even better they got here really fast. I have bought other parts and bodies from them in the last few months and all there castings I received are great. I was wrong about the hood as it does not include the Ram Induction system but is 1/24 scale. I found the hood scoops in the Ertl 71 Duster kit are close enough to scale and are bigger then the ones in the Ertl 70 Coronet kit Here is a pic of the hood and 69 R/T tail panal. Sorry it took so long to get back to you. Hope this helps. Don.
  4. Here's two of mine. 03 MACH 1 My weekend worrior
  5. Excellent work on the goat. Very clean. Nice to see an American Muscle Car in true form. The redlines really set it off.
  6. Wow. Your off to a very good start. I to am working on the same kit and making a lot of changes as you are. Im doing the Super Bee Six Pack version with the correct wheels and tires. Painting it the stock rally green with the side scoops. The hood with hood scoops and underhood ram induction system you mentioned are available in resin that look great on evilbay. And yes in 1/24 scale. I have a set to do a R/T conversion of the kit. Well keep up the great work. Keep us posted.
  7. Ron keep the steelies. They look GREAT with that color. The real 70's look. Guess you had to be there back in the day.
  8. Very good first build. Nice job on the paint and stripes. Nice interior work also. My first build was a real glue bomb. Keep up the good work.
  9. I use PPG Clear Urethane. It goes on thin and dries fast like lacquer but with a deeper shine. See Pics.
  10. Pledge with Future Shine is the new label for Future. I called the company because I couldn't find Future anywhere eather and they told me it's been changed to Pledge with Future Shine.
  11. Hi Everyone, Well I finally finished the 69 Dart GTS 440. It was a great kit to build however I was blessed with a not so good chrome tree in the kit. I was going to build a stock 383 car but things changed and I built it as a 440 Saturday night blvd crusier like you would see on the streets in the early 70's. Couldn't help myself. I do have one more 69 I'm going to do completely stock soon. Maybe B5 Blue and White. I'm waiting for a conversion set to do a 69 Roadrunner 440 6 BBL. If it gets here soon that will be my next project. If not who knows. Well anyway here's some pics of the GTS. Hope you like it. As always your comments, questions and critisism are welcome. Don
  12. Great work so far. Nice color combination on the body. Very good detail on the dash and interior. Keep up the great work.

  14. Outstanding work, Very clean and Very convincing. Great job.
  15. We have a really bad time with high humidity here in FL. So lacquer can be a problem on certain days. Thats when I use the urethane.
  16. Yea Dirk. I used Testors on my 68 Charger R/T Conversion and had to put it in the purple pond and start over. Then I used a PPG Urethane Clear on it. Pics of it should still be under glass somewhere on page 3. Testors clear and I dont get along at all. Automotive paint is the only way to go for me.
  17. Thanks Dirk, That PPG Lacquer is really great to work with.
  18. Thanks KDog. I'll cheak it out.
  19. Hi Everyone, Well I finally got the body painted in MCW 69 Dodge Copper Metallic Lacquer and clear coated with PPG clear. Time for the BMF treatment so back to work for now. Here are some pics. Dont mind the dust.
