  1. Batman's ride from the '89 movie. Built when the kit wuz first issued, outta the box.
  2. Yup, clear plastic material fer the windshield wuz hiding in the instructions. I posted a corrected pic.
  3. Thank you fer yer comment...who's Donald?
  4. This is why I much prefer injection molded plastic tires or resin tires, you can make em look more like real tires than the vinylish mystery plastic tires that have been eaten up the plastic in kits fer decades. And resin wheels aren't safe either, at least not the finish, here's some pics of my SWC Willys that wuz best of Show at the Detroit Autorama in 2006...the front wheels are resin and the tires are vintage MPC funny car front tires, figured I didn't have to worry about the tire melty thing cuz of the resin wheels...wrong! The wheels are painted with Testors gloss black enamel and then Alclad polished aluminum. As you can see, the the finish on the rim edge is "melting" just like a plastic wheel would do. I suspect that it is the enamel reacting to the tire but I'm not sure, I've done resin wheels this way with vintage or vinyl type tires fer years and never had this happen before. I tried Tamiya Lacquer for a base coat but found that the Alclad doesn't like to stick to Lacquer as well as enamel so that's why I used it. lesson learned...no more vintage tires. Fer what it's worth.
  5. Just got the Atlantis "Boss Fink", how very cool to have this kit re-issued...kinda. Original "Tweedy Pie with Boss Fink" kits are extremely rare and have sold for more $2000.00...when they come up for sale...which ain't that often. The Last pic is the original box art. I'm pretty sure when Revell first offered this kit in '65 as the "Tweedy Pie with Boss Fink" it included a complete Tweedy Pie kit and the Boss Fink figure so I wuz kinda expectin ta get the figure and the complete (restored) car...silly me. So not all the parts to build Tweedy Pie are included such as tires, decals, wheels, and other misc. pieces but I'm cool with that cuz Tweedy Pie kits I got, it's the Boss Fink Figure that that I wanted. Just a heads up fer those who care.
  6. Thank you fer yer comment. Desperate situations call fer Desperate measures. I came up with the tape player thing when I built the Monogram Talladaga, wuz building it to Box Stock rules so I couldn't change the tires and at the time no correct transfers or decals fer whitewalls were available. I seem to recall readin sumwhere (Scale Auto maybe) that sumone had used a compass and some kinda special pen to do whitewalls on tires so that wuz my inspiration.
  7. Thank you fer yer comment, yup, lotsa Solvaset and a few touch ups with paint.
  8. Nope, the finned brake drums are in the kit.
  9. Polar Lights pre-painted diecast Batmobile. Not much to it, kinda fell together. Had some fun with the interior, detailing the "mobile Bat Lab" and the controls on the dash.
  10. "Big Daddy" Roth's Surfite. Built from Revell's "selected subjects program" kit with a few changes, opened up the front "grilles", corrected the top of the windshield, added "step strips" to the rear deck and hinged the hood. Chrome wuz kinda rough, lotsa parting lines so I cleaned up the parts and rechromed all the shiny goodies. Tiki Hut is finished to match box art. Roth figure is from the latest reissue of the kit.
  11. Polar Lights kit built mostly outta the box.
  12. Polar lights prepainted diecast Batmobile kit. Made a few changes, added screening to the grille area, "Bat" decals on doors and hand painted pinstriping with Testors Chevy engine red. Interior detailing is also hand painted.
  13. Monogram's excellent kit built Box Stock as a Replica of my friends car. Finished as a Factory fresh car with correct chassis overspray patterns and assembly line paint codes and inspection marks. Had to correct a few things that Monogram got wrong but no big deal. Finished in Presidential Blue (one of only three colors available) with correct hue black on hood and cowl and hand painted white walls.
  14. Found this at a Garage sale fer cheap. AMT Shuttle Craft kit from the 70's I think. Built one of these when I wuz a kid and loved it. Simple kit, not an exact replica but a fun build. Made a few changes/additions to Jazz it up a bit. Decals kinda sucked, they did not want to stick despite lotsa Solvaset, is what it is.
  15. Recent reissue of AMT's double kit, built outta the box except fer the license plates.
  16. Thank you fer yer comment. Yup, outta the box except fer the slicks and decals (Slixx).
  17. I like it, you nailed the body work. Don't see sumthin like this very often, a drop top 70's Mustang...nice work
  18. These models did not include clear parts.
  19. Revell kit with much chassis mods to get a more correct stance. Kit decals over simulated silver metal flake "gelcoat" finish with 2K clear. All metal finishes are Alclad.
  20. Thank you fer yer comment, Slixx Decals.
  21. Nice collection of Dyno's Bowtie S/S cars
  22. Just finished this one. Built from an early Johan kit, started it about 10 years ago, painted it and put it away fer some reason. All metal finishes are Alclad, replaced the slicks with resin pieces.
