  1. Thank you fer yer comment. The rear bumper has not been replated, it is kit chrome. The front bumper has been refinished with Alclad Hi-Shine Polished aluminum to replicate the aluminum front bumpers that the lightweight cars had.
  2. Thank you fer yer comment, the interior is a resin cast piece from Model Car World, I bought several back when Dave Dodge still owned Model Car World. I made the Bostrom seat master and had resin copies made, there available to purchase from Kevin at Missing Link resin. The "Galaxie" lettering and other trim are decals, there available from Jack Smith at Top End Decals.
  3. Tasca Ford '63 Galaxie lightweight, built as a curbside. Fixed the taillights and a few other things.
  4. I remember those theaters Paul, the Mai Kai wuz my favorite.
  5. Yeah, how 'bout that...go figure.
  6. D.A.A.M. Show goodies today, scored bigly...a few Oval Track Legends/Gary Doucette resin Indy car multi-media kits, kinda hard to come by especially the Durant-Miller double kit. An Etzel 1926 Miller RWD, a 1924 Duesenberg Roadster, and acoupla Etzel 1959/60 Watson Roadsters. Also two of the Atomic City '69 AMX's, one with highback bucket seats and one with lowback seats. Picked up sum decals from Jack Smith, Gas Ronda's '63 Galaxie lightweight and '63/64 Galaxie script details.
  7. Fireball Modelworks has the Cooper Cobra Radial G/T decals, #WL-09. Fireball Modelworks also offers many different sizes of generic tires, which do not have layering lines as they are cast rubber.
  8. Monogram 1930 Model A Ford Coupe / Cabriolet kit circa 1962, original issue. The Model itself is not that hard to come by, but according to a close friend of mine who worked at Harb's Hobby Shop in Dearborn Michigan, this example is quite a rare survivor. You'll notice the box bottom is sealed, it wuz Monogram's practice back in the day when a new kit wuz introduced to include a "display kit" (with the interior sealed) in each case of kits. The retailer could use this to show the features of the "new" kit to promote sales and when the hype of a new kit died down it could still be sold as a sealed kit.
  9. Thank you fer yer comment, I don't think this kit is currently in production but I believe one could be easily found at Toy shows or on line sources.
  10. I like it...
  11. My Grandson Nick built this a few years ago from a Selected Subjects reissue. I gave him the store display to go with it. He took Best of Show, Junior Class at the Motor City NNL #3 in November of 2007. Just fer giggles, his pal, Jimmy Flintstone gave him the Broadway Bob figure to display with the car.
  12. Yup, I remember when model kits cost a bit less...original issue of the Monogram Beer Wagon circa 1967...still sealed from Kresges.
  13. Nicely done, 1/32 Pyro Table Top Classic if I'm not mistaken.
  14. Got mine...pics don't do the castings justice...very nicely done. Could easily be mistaken for injection molded plastic.
  15. Got mine today...Northville Michigan. This issue is particularly well done, thank you Mr. Hutchings.
