  1. Looks really sharp. I like the detail under the hood. The kit itself also looks nice, detail and proportions look right and it's pretty cool if the kit includes the a/c. I'll have to keep an eye out for this one
  2. I like it. The quarters look right and I think red was a good choice, especially with the cragars.
  3. Cool! It's not a very common name. Around here there's only one other Phipps family and we aren't related
  4. Nice and tidy. The dealership decal on the trunk is a nice touch
  5. Very nice. The first photo with the hood open fooled me at first, not gonna lie. I double checked that it wasn't a reference shot
  6. This Canuck approves! Over the years I've noticed there seems to be a higher ratio of Canadians on modelling forums vs. other topics I'm into, is it because we spend half the year in winter?? I snapped this picture early yesterday morning and it's topical so I'd like to share, I hope you don't mind. Around 5am in Saskatoon
  7. Looks nice, I think the green suits it. Several years ago a friend had one passed down to him from his father in law. British racing green and some minor performance stuff, really fun to drive and zing the tach to the moon.
  8. Very nice. I like the details added to the underside of the top, that's something I've been meaning to add to my method. I typically neglect that area because "I never see it" but on a few of my recent builds I've noticed bare roof/sail panel in some of my pictures and proved myself wrong
  9. Very sharp. How was the texture of the vinyl roof achieved? It almost looks like intentional heavy orange peel? Either way it looks great!
  10. Super clean. The windshield tint is a great effect, adds a lot of realism to it. Definitely fool someone with a quick look at it!
  11. I'm all for some photos, I paused or replayed sections of the video. There's so much detail I think it would be great to see
  12. Looks great! The excavator boom with the cribbing and chains is awesome. I'm a heavy duty mechanic by day and have dismantled a boom or two but I sure wish I was working on them at this scale instead!
  13. Thanks for the comments guys! My models usually reflect the 1:1 stuff I'm into, or have going on in the garage but I'm not much of a mopar guy so it was kind of fun for a change of pace. I painted it before the pictures and I wish I had used a bit more... egg yolk? yellow, but I am happy with the way it turned out. It is Folkart "Daffodil yellow" airbrushed with Duplicolor clear If you can believe it he almost lost his big toe. The toe is still around, but it doesn't bend anymore.
  14. Recently finished the current AMT 68 roadrunner. It went together pretty good with no real issues other than it came with the wrong tail lights. The sprue looks like the back of the box but the "lights" are a bezel for a different mopar maybe? Not too sure. Built it out of the box other than the face of the wheels. I tried to paint the underside how I figured they'd roll off the line. It's intended to be a gift to a family member this christmas. The last pics are the inspiration, and his old car. Ouch!
  15. Looks good! I recently built this one as well and as you said, it's not the best. I had to do a pile of cleanup and the back window had to be just right or it fell through. I really like '57s though and this one is about $20 here so I'll probably hoard a few
