  1. Looks sharp! A guy a few blocks from my house has one just like this, even with the slotted wheels and "rubber rake"
  2. They look great lined up, really good photos. The display and perspective of the background behind the fence is awesome
  3. Really nice. I like the colour combo. I've had this one in my hand at the store a few times then... I don't buy it. I should probably go buy it
  4. Looks good! that colour suits it well. The pig noses are great. Buddy of mine had a red and white '60 in high school, 261 3spd. No rear brakes so it did incredible burnouts in second gear! I built an older version of this one a few years ago and I remember having to mess with the bed mounts to get it anywhere close to lined up. I seem to remember the Revell '66 had similar trouble
  5. Looks good! They are cool cars. I've had the privilege of driving an '84 H/O, the 307 has no power compared to modern vehicles but the lightning rods are fun! I've got 2 of these waiting to be built, one for the H/O and one to replicate the '85 Cutlass I had in high school.
  6. Looks awesome. That blue plexi rad filler piece and mirrored firewall are killer
  7. Looks good from the front! I've built this one and the '66, both took a fair bit of fiddling around to get the body all lined up. I'd like to build them both again
  8. Great work. I've always liked seeing muscle or just the non-traditionally "kool" cars getting the custom treatment. I like how you achieved the quilted interior effect, I'm going to remember that one.
  9. I hate to break it to you but you may also be a car builder now... looks good. Are the exhaust tips part of the kit or something you added? Those "pencil tip" or rolled-in tips are one of my favourite types
  10. Thanks for the info, I'll have to grab one! I figured they were part of the kit but I'm surprised the bigger items aren't included in the box art
  11. Looks great! I've been eyeing up this Fujimi set. Does the hoist/crane/engine stand come with it? It's not on the box art but I see it in lots of pics online but haven't been able to confirm it yet.
  12. Looks great! I noticed the wires tying the paint stand arms on, good idea. I haven't dropped a body yet but I've had the arms pop out on me so problem solved!
  13. Very nice, good photos too. The wheels really caught my eye on this one
  14. Very nice. I really like the details under the hood. The brake line is great
  15. Looks great! Having the wheels turned is a nice touch for photos.
  16. Great list, thanks!
  17. I recently found some pictures of a Revell 1/4 scale slant six kit from the 60's and it's right up my alley, however I'm not interested in paying collector prices so I'm wondering if there are any more modern issues of this style of kit. I have the Revell visible V8. I've also seen a Ford 302 and a flat 4... porsche or VW? I can't recall. There's also a few other visible types I've found but they were all more of a generic engine. I think I may have seen a motorcycle engine kit at the shop as well. I would mostly be interested in North American engines, but I'm open to all suggestions!
  18. Sure is! I'm not much for fishing these days but fly-in is pretty common here. They say Saskatchewan is home to 100,000 lakes.
  19. Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. I've been working on an AMT '60 Fleetside C10, I'll have to start a WIP on that one when I get a chance!
  20. Hey guys. I found my way here a while ago and have been clicking around really enjoying everyone's work being shared. I'm a mid 30's guy that messed around with models as a kid and I'm sure like many others here I didn't touch them for many years. Last winter I got back into it and got 3 built, and so far this winter I've gotten 4 built with another on the go. All 7 kits were unbuilt from my youth... There was a period in time where I got a lot as gifts and never started any of them, haha. Looking forward to having an outlet to share my work with others! Here's a pic of my most recent build. This is a Revell '59 Impala Lowrider. Other than the lowered parts the only kit additions to make it the lowrider version are wire wheels, and a chain steering wheel which I didn't use.
