That looks really good Jeff! Seems the cab is of good quality! I remember building my Pacemaker. It had quite a few "disturbances" in the cab surface and other parts! Keep going, it's going to be a great build!

The doors fit and work! The Driver seems to be a Harley fan! ? Now my absolutely Not favorite Part comes! Cutting the window pieces to size! But it's part of the deal so I won't complain! The lower window in the passenger door is a piece of 0.5mm transparent foil put between the doors and the panel!

This is going to be a great build! Keep going Paul! I like the crane! Reminds me of how I printed the two cranes for my ACX! It's a great Feeling when you put it together and it works!

Wow, Jeff, that's a great curriculum of Hayes! Amazing knowledge! Thanks for sharing that! I like the one with the the Mack cab! Could be an interesting build! I didn't want to build another Mack since I've got five already but that would be a nice way of going around it and still having an F700 cab!

Thanks Jeff! Yes, the smoothening is something I have to improve! I'm still working on methods to get that better! Hope to be able to Show some of that on future builds!

Here's a sneak preview of the cab, but without the doors! They're still in production! I tried to make the decals look a little aged and faded!

Thanks Jeff. Nice of you to say that but I don't know if my skills are that special! I've been trying for months to design a White Road Commander and already gave up several times. A Pete 352 is almost like a box, so are the K100 and the Marmon Cabover! OK the conventionals we're a bit more tricky but I never would have thought that the Road Commander is so difficult! I'll keep trying though and maybe someday you'll see a new topic of mine here called "White Road Commander"!

Had to remake the doors and inside panels totally! I had underestimated the aspects of opening doors! It seemed so easy on kits like the Black Magic PB. Anyway, they didn't quite fit after adding the tiny hinges and after painting (takes a couple of layers to hide the print lines) it was even worse! So before starting a never ending surgery that would never end in the result I expected, I decided to do the changes in the 3D drawings and then print them again. They're being painted now and then I hope they fit! I'll show you as soon as the paint job is done!

Really nice build! Amazing how precisely the hood fits the cab! Did it take fiddling or was it a perfect match from the beginning?

Wow, thanks everyone! I'm really happy to hear that my build is so popular! It's still a bit of a problem child in some items though! I had to open up the dog house on the passenger side because the turbo charger was a bit too far off and it blocked the cab. In my virtual build simulation everything fit fine! Don't know how that could happen! Anyway, I designed a part to cover up the hole and to give the turbo charger it's needed space! Doesn't look very nice from below though! Maybe I'll think of something! They probably didn't have such big engines back then or I built it wrong! Also the doors don't fit exactly as planned (and hoped) so I'll have to do a bit of rework and plastic surgery on that part. Put the emphasis on surgery! The plastic is there anyway! I hope to correct these faults quickly and in a way that doesn't inflict the visual impresion of the build! You'll be the first to know! In the meantime you can take a look at the CB radio I made!

Made a screenshot of the trailer to be! I first combined front and rear half and added the Thermo King! Had to virtually split the trailer in half because my printerbed is only 220x220mms.

Hi Steve, nice to see you back! Actually, yes, I am planning to make a trailer for it. I chose a 27" reefer with a Thermo King cooler! For that I'll use the 3D files I designed for my "Big Nasty" R600. I already took away the horizontal structure lines to make smooth side walls and designed a Thermo King for it! I'll post some pics of the drawings if you like! (Just for the purists among the truck builders here, the Thermo King was not designed after a photo or anything, just out of my memories and a bit of fantasy!) As I have already told Gary in his thread, this will be a beer truck! Also not an authentically schemed one but from a real beer brewery that existed in the days this truck was built and operated! Hope you enjoy it and thanks for your frequent visits in my thread!

Thanks for your kind words! I'll be OK in a couple of days again (I hope!) The chrome looks quite satisfying, yes! It's a lot of work to get there though! A few layers of paint (flat grey), then a layer of gloss black (I'd like to thank the person whom I got this glorious Idea from. I read it somewhere in this forum but unfortunately I can't remember which thread it was! Somewhere here in the WIP big rigs ...!) you're a genious! It really does lead to a better result! You'll see that when the exhaust pipes are on! The Revell chrome spray isn't that bad after all! I had made some disastrous experiences but still gave the stuff a second chance since I was convinced to have been self responsible for the bad results! I'm happy about that decision today!

Hi everyone, I'm back after a week of illness. Not cured all the way yet but enough for some work at the bench. I got sick before I could post these: Roof, cockpit, door panels, ... chromed parts (you may have seen these in Gary's thread - No hijack!) The cab, interior and doors! And this is last night's work: Wheels, ... quarter fenders and fuel tanks, .... bumper and grille fixed into place, Not glued yet!

The uneven surfaces come from the fact that all parts are printed and then painted with multiple layers and sanded in between! The sanding may have caused some roughness which you only see when the chrome is on. I'll try to improve that process! Keep going with that build! It's awesome!

Hi Gary, that sounds great! I would be proud to be copied by you! ? An old beer truck sounds like a nice nostalgic build! Great idea! I chromed several parts for my Pete. They look pretty good but still I'll put a clear coat on! Hope this is not seen as a hijack?
