Right now I'm wishing that I was independently wealthy so I could retire and spend my days doing what I want to do instead of what my employer needs me to do.

"Out you lout before I overhaul your head!" is what Bernie's Grandpa yelled at him as he ejected the disassembled carburetor and carb cleaner pail from his dining room table.

"Implosion: The Titanic Sub Disaster" documentary began airing on May 28. You can catch it on The Discovery Channel, Max, Discovery+ or Amazon Prime Video. It is VERY interesting and informative.

Disconnect the fuel pump relay with the engine running. If the engine dies, the oil pressure switch is bad. This is actually a fairly common cause of intermittent engine shut-offs on the 2.5 liter Iron Duke engines used in USPS "LLV" route trucks. Weird thing is, the engine WILL start and continue to run with the faulty oil pressure switch.

Poly engines, built by Chrysler Corp, technically "Polysheric" because they featured polyspherical-shaped (meaning "more than one sphere") combustion chambers, were based on the Hemi engines, using the same blocks and crankshaft parts, but completely different cylinder heads, pushrods, exhaust manifolds and pistons.

Santa brought the MPC '68 Toronado and the Chuck Miller Fire Truck show car. I was deeply disappointed, but built them both anyway. When I left for college, my younger brother, with whom I shared a bedroom, threw all my model cars into the trash. I got the Fire Truck when it was repopped a few years back, and would LOVE to build the Toronado again -

See your way to doing something unexpected and nice for another and you'll tremendously brighten someone's day.

It is as rational as all the other things these clod heads do to impress their neighbors.

Benefit of the introduction of automotive computer controls, electronic fuel injection and variable cam timing is the manufacturer's horsepower races launched again.

Before you bypass the computer control, go the the wiring harness connectors that plug into the computer. Push EACH wire individually INTO the connector and make sure each wire connection is tight. Also, check your body grounds and make sure they're clean, tight and there is no corrosion. Another step, especially if your truck has ever been in an accident, is follow the fuel pump wiring harness from back to front and make sure all the connections are tight.

Process of elimination is how most "mechanics" with deficient diagnostic skills attempt to repair vehicles, replacing part after part after part until the problem goes away.
