My wife has wanted another cat since we lost our last one, Gizmo Grease Spot, to coyotes 7 years ago. Admittedly selfishly, I didn't want to bear her heartbreak when we inevitably lost another one, as coyotes prevail where we live and frequently poop in our driveway to mark their territory. In addition, I am opposed to keeping a cat indoors all the time as it is their instinct to roam and hunt. That being said, the very elderly mother of a friend-of-a-friend of my wife's was going into an assisted living facility and couldn't keep her cat. The cat had been a indoor cat her entire life and shows no interest in going outside. If a door is opened, she may look outside, but never goes through the portal. We adopted her and brought her to her new home. It took her almost 2 weeks to claim us as her Humans, but since she has, she is incredibly affectionate, inseparable and talkative. Meet Hannah, although she purrs so often and so loudly that I might have to change her name to Destiny Diesel.

One of the aspects of this forum that I really enjoy, in addition to the comradery, is that some of the posts cause me to laugh out loud.

"Good riddance!" I say to changing our clocks twice a year, but I'd rather we stay on the "Daylight Savings Time" hours and have later sunsets than default to permanent "Standard Time" and it get dark early in the evening.

According to USPS policy, mail carriers are not allowed to ask for or accept cash tips as it is considered a violation of federal regulations; however, they can receive small gifts valued at $20 or less per customer per occasion. -

I hear ya!!!! Every year, where I work (USPS) we have to re-bid our work schedules. This gives Management the opportunity to make changes without Union consent. I am now clocking in at 1:30AM, which means my alarm goes off at 11:30PM the night before so I can make it to work on time. Saturday work schedule is still 5:00AM until 1:30PM, with Sunday and Monday off. My body doesn't seem to want to accept this new sleep schedule and Tuesdays are BRUTAL after a normal weekend sleep schedule...
