Have A Suggestion….
Jay Whittaker replied to Jay Whittaker's topic in Model Cars Magazine News and Discussions
Some great points have been brought forth on this, has any of the magazine staff piped-in? Asking as I'm not familiar with who's who. -
How about a short, running piece entitled “Model Stuff Is Everywhere!”? I’m not suggesting anything long and drawn out, but rather a partial-page snippet, a monthly (per sè) tip about something found out in the great wide world that makes for great detailing in our scale world. For Example: “Utilizing the individual zipper teeth from a worn-out pair of jeans make for perfect battery terminal ends. Simply pluck them out of the fabric with a pair of needle nose pliers, drill a receiving hole for the battery cable, and attach to the battery terminals.”… Submit a couple of pictures, one from the source, and one showing it in the build it was used on… Just a little something interesting that should catch attention, and help modelers along. Just a thought, and any thoughts for or against are welcome.

Thanks so much guys! i appreciate the kind words!

Wrapped up a detail-painted Box Stock of Tom McEwen’s funny, and even though the 1:1 is bright red, I took the liberty of testing out my Candy Brandywine. Unfortunately the pictures don’t do the color justice. I used an array of bottled gloss, flats, clears, and metalizers, along with a little extra decal work to bring it as accurate as I know how…. All comments welcome. Enjoy!

My contribution to the GSL Lynx Project the Bertone Mustang
Jay Whittaker replied to Len Woodruff's topic in Model Cars
That Lynx Project is just about indescribable to anyone that hasn’t had the privilege to see it first hand, the magnitude of joint craftsmanship that went into it just boggles the mind! Your contribution fully measures up! -
