  2. Thanks a ton for the compliments and kind words folks! I appreciate it!
  3. WOW thanks so much for that consideration! By all means, go right ahead! ???
  4. That one heckuva kit mash! Nice clean work, LOVE the end result!
  5. WOW that is some knock-out custom work!! Everything blended together with obvious loving care. Perfect color choice IMO. Beautiful!
  6. Did this as a quick shelf build, my rendition of AMT’s ‘65 GTO. I utilized the custom top option as well as the custom front lower pan, removed the split in the grille and filled-in the headlight area, resulting in what strongly resembles a Riviera from the same year. I de-chromed, shaved off the back-up lights, and mellowed-out the rear bumper to better-harmonize with the aforementioned front pan. The taillight was converted to a strip unit, and mesh fills in the grille opening. The body was shot in Candy Brandywine over Gold Pearl, and other than carpeting the floor, everything else was simply detail-painted. This is something that could have easily been seen at the ‘64-‘65 World’s Fair had Pontiac actually done it, hence the title of this thread and the motivation behind the build. Enjoy!
  7. Beautiful period perfect build! I’m a fan of the white top myself
  8. Thank you!….Yessir, it is. There were ZERO issues with the build-up of this. Minimum flash/cleanup, and fitment was great. The only part that had any issue was the interior cover was a bit warped, but gentle hand-twisting brought it back and it fit just fine.
  9. Superb build! LOVE the colors!
  10. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing this at the GSL, you did an outstanding job on it!
  11. So crisp and cleanly built, I could swear I was looking at the real thing!
  12. Absolutely STUNNING build!! Your paint work is top-notch, the detailing is superb, and the end result as a whole definitely hits the mark!!
  13. Some great points have been brought forth on this, has any of the magazine staff piped-in? Asking as I'm not familiar with who's who.
  14. How about a short, running piece entitled “Model Stuff Is Everywhere!”? I’m not suggesting anything long and drawn out, but rather a partial-page snippet, a monthly (per sè) tip about something found out in the great wide world that makes for great detailing in our scale world. For Example: “Utilizing the individual zipper teeth from a worn-out pair of jeans make for perfect battery terminal ends. Simply pluck them out of the fabric with a pair of needle nose pliers, drill a receiving hole for the battery cable, and attach to the battery terminals.”… Submit a couple of pictures, one from the source, and one showing it in the build it was used on… Just a little something interesting that should catch attention, and help modelers along. Just a thought, and any thoughts for or against are welcome.
  15. Thanks so much guys! i appreciate the kind words!
  16. Wrapped up a detail-painted Box Stock of Tom McEwen’s funny, and even though the 1:1 is bright red, I took the liberty of testing out my Candy Brandywine. Unfortunately the pictures don’t do the color justice. I used an array of bottled gloss, flats, clears, and metalizers, along with a little extra decal work to bring it as accurate as I know how…. All comments welcome. Enjoy!
  17. OUTSTANDING rendition of a well-known kustom!! Just beautiful!
  18. Fantastic start to this tribute! Beautiful execution on overcoming the wheel debacle.
  19. You did a superb job on bringing this back to its original glory, seeing it at the GSL Finale was a real treat, and finally getting to meet you was an honor!
  20. You did this vintage kit justice. BEAUTIFULLY done!
