  3. Man this is one build that inspires me to build a model of Ken Spence’s Mk 2 ford zephyr that had a 289 hi po motor in it. That was a drag and circuit raced during this era of Australian motorsports.
  4. I’ve started painting the psychedelic paint on the Monaro using various candy paints from SMS paints.
  5. HB Holden torana based of a Vauxhall viva as they were the same car. It will be a funny car build.
  6. Thanks. For the body I found a lj torana body as a 3d file and modified it a bit on tinkercad.
  7. There has been more but slow progress on this. The engine is halfway complete and I’ve decided I will use the correct sort of chassis for this car I just have to print it out. The body needs some painted flames on it. But that’s it for now.
  8. Its SMS paints Royal plum over their grey surfacer and cleared with SMS super clear.
  9. Is the red LC Pro Street 1 because it looks perfect same as that blue Lc
  10. This is one sweet looking hq mate. Looking forward to see the progress.
  11. Bloody looks stunning in lone o ranger and that injection setup looks perfect
  12. Neat looking LC there mate very early 90s looking.
  13. Here’s a little more progress not much but it all adds up. I painted the chassis up today and primed the body and sanded it. It needs a bit more sanding and it should be good body wise. I’ve also got some parts for it printing at the moment.
  14. Here’s a DDA LJ Torana built into an 80s streeter with a 350 Chev
  15. Some street freak mock ups I’m doing
  16. Well I can’t remember where I put the flip front body to save myself but I did have a spare body I started to cut up the other month. Which whilst pro stock is cool gassers are wicked so it will be a Monaro gasser finally. I’ll be using a blown big block on a 3d printed chassis with the period correct hilborn set up on the top of the blower. the second picture is of it with Us Indy wheels on the front and back which gives it a street freak look to it but I’ll continue building this throughout the next couple of weeks.
  17. Here’s another one of my 3d printed builds. The car in question will be an Holden LJ Torana funny car from way back in the early 70s. It was powered at first by a blown Small Block and then powered by a nitro blown Big Block Chev which I believe came out of a race boat. The car has been on a few covers of the Australian hotrod magazines throughout that time period due to its fiery burnouts. the picture of it roofless happened only because the roof caved in at the start line at Castlereagh drag strip. So the crew actually cut the roof of and just went full send with it. Enough of the cars history it time to show the beginning mock-ups for it. I am using a 3d printed Logge chassis which is incorrect for it as it ran I believe a Don Hardy style chassis but I’m not really for accuracy. The body has been modified by me a fair bit on tinkercad. The blower hat is temporary. The colours will be SMS paints mainly purple and orange flames. But that’s it for now stay tuned for more.
  18. I used sms paints clear green but I reckon I should of used tamiya clear green due to the sms paints made the glass go funny
  19. This is one awesome looking gasser so far. I have to say I love the American street freaks it’s just a shame they never caught back here in aus
  20. It came up stunningly and that marina blue just suits the black wheels
