  1. Thanks, the seat is done with paints. I used Tamyia Gold for a base coat, some craft store gold glitter spray, and topped it off with some Tamyia Clear Red spray...I have added some more detail with another coat of Tamiya Clear Red in the jar, but I do not have any pics of that yet.....
  2. I have been working on this one for a couple weeks and I am very please with the results to this point..... I will post more pics when she is complete.... All the parts came from the parts box, Lindbeeg body, Revell front end, engine and trans from and AMT Swithcers kit
  3. I used the leaf springs and axel from the AMT 55 Chevy Cameo Pick up....With a small bit of modification to them. I lowered the wheel mounts to give me more frontal LIFT.....
  4. Yes Jake Welcome Aboard..... Suspension tutorial???? Please share, I have a couple off road projects, I would certainly like to "tweak" a bit.... Thanks...... 8)
  5. Bruce, Yes.... www.currtail.com/penngwen IIRC, you will find what you seek there.... Good Luck,
  6. Guys.... Thanks for all the info on the future.... Looks like a sable brush is in my future....Pun intended....LOL 8)
  7. I am in need of some tips for using Fututre as a clear top coat. I took a shot on it and was not happy at all  However, I can see that if applied correctly it would make for a killer finish. There were a couple spots on the model where it looked like glass, nice smooth reflective finish. But for the most part it wasn't very shiney. I hope somebody has some expirence with this stuff, as I like it for two reasons, it is reasonably cost effective and doesn't have the negative effect of a urethane clear coat.(not that there is anything wrong with them, I just chose not to use them). Info like how much pressure to use, do you thin it? etc.... So if you would share some tips, I'd be greatful.... Thanks
  8. Great pictures..... I too built one of those way back when, where it is now, who knows. I do have a new one on the bench though and hopefully I can do it justice....
  9. Charlie......... That is pretty cool isn't it......Some time ago a friend of mine scratch built one. I gotta find some pictures of it, it was even in one of the Scale Auto annuals with coverage from NNL East... I have asked him if he'd be interested in "loaning" it out to be cast and the answer was a simple NO....... It would be cool though..... LG 8)
  10. Thanks Bob......... I cannot wait to get my mits on one...... 8)
  11. Brian, Cannot say I have had those problems. I have even sprayed the new Testors paints on the new soft Revell plastic with no crazing. Maybe it was your application methods? Don't know maybe someone else can shed some light. Typically I'd spray two or three light coats then a heavy coat or two depending on the coverage I need. Anyway, dont give up just yet... Good luck, Len Geisler 8)
  12. Kevin, Excellent information, never too late.....Excellent service and products.. Len Geisler
  13. Welcome Eric.........

  15. Weel the drag racing bug is itching me again and I dug out my Bad Habit decals and narrowed it down to two cars. Gapp and Roush or the Scott Shafiroff (leaing this way a bit more  ). I cannot find any reference pics, did a quick google search and had only marginal luck on the G&R car but nothing for Shafrioff, any help would be appreciated!!! Thanks 8)
  16. When I was born you could had a new one of these........ 8)
  17. Welcome aboard Rick!!!!!!!! 8)
  18.
  19. I finally got around to ordering the GMC conversion for the MK Blazer from KDog Resins. I'd like to know if nayone has any suggestions for lifting this truck. I am familiar with 1:1 lift technology to an extent, but wondered if someone had some "scale" expirence with lift kits.... Thanks Folks... 8)
  20. Guys, I am getting very confused with the "new" plastic from Revellogram, and here is what I have. 1) My Foose inspired Mustang GT Custom, shot with PLastikote primer, no issues.. 2) My brand new C6, shot with Tamiya paint on bare plastic, crazed like nobodys business 3) Another Mustang GT, shot Testors new laquer over bare plastic, no issues 4) Cobra Colors moon mud on new C6 no issues... Here is where my confusion lies, I thought that Testor and Tamyia laquers were compatiable, for example, I have seen posts from multiple people using Tamiya clear over Testor paint and vice versa. So why does the new plastic not like the Tamiya on it bare skin??? Thanks in advance guys........ Can anyone shed some light????
  21. Can I ask what chassis you used, I have a "pro touring" version in the works and would like to build a "pro street / drag" version too.... Thanks and once again great work.... 8)

  23. Bill, Drop me a line on the Scrambler, I amy be able to help!!! Len Geisler
  24. This is my 2nd for 06, it was a qucik build, the rule was if it aint in the box it doesn't go on the car. I posted some in progrees pics last week, but here is a nice shot of her done..... It was my first real attempt at the whole RAT ROD thing and I am hooked. Also tried my hand at weathering and I think overall a pretty good job first time out.. Next up, my new project, not so ratty, but sweet all in all.... AMT Switchers T-Bucket, I am glad I bought more than one of these kits...Chose the pickup bed for this build. Painted with Tamiya Dark Mica Blue, pics make it look black. In fact it almost looks black live... Motor and trans combo from the Revellogram Willys Street Rod, rear wheels from the 32 3 window. Headders are from the AMT 53 Stude, they are abit off the wall, bit I like them..... Enjoy...questions, comment, and critiques alway welcome....
  25. I don't think there are any pro stock kita available, however, MK is due to release two in the fall. But if you can use pro street stuff, the Chevelle P/S from Revellogram ahs all the necssary items, plus as a bonus, a nice BBC Engine. AMT has the Coronet P/S, which I think is still current, it has a ll the ps parts too, main difference is the AMT kit has the Micky T Pro Street tires.... Anyway you go, good luck and post some pics....
