Well I just ordered some Kitchen Table Resins parts for the Monogram 50 Ford Pick up. I got the 51/2 Conversion and the correct inline flat six..I am having a debate with myself on how to build it...I am thinking right now of two schools of thought.....One is a stock truck with the new parts and engine. The other is a lowered on updated suspension with the old motor powering a non-stock truck. Maybe like a Retro-Rod type build... Looking for some suggestion, wadda ya think guys??? How do I proceed...

I used a bench from a 70 Impala, not perfect, but close enough for a Swiss Naval Project..... -

Been done a long time, I think it was an annual kit...... -
Anyone use any of these on a kit body??? I have a copper color that I want to use on an RX-7 but the kit wasnt cheap and I don't want to ruin it. I have used Pactra Lexan paints on plastic with no issue in the past. Just wondering if anyone has tried it before.... Thanks,

I will check when I get home, but IIRC, I use the OOMOO30 and it catches all the details I needed. I cast some BBC VC with some script on them, and no issues there. It is think when you mix it, but let it settle and flow, you will be surprised of the detail it catches....

How do we get one of those bodies??? Someone casting it???? -
Anyone have any luck doing this?? I want to clear the 65 Dodge Convert I got and like the finish the Tamiya gives but want to know if anyone has tried this and how it worked out for them. I am also working on a PL GTO and want to put some Tamiya color over the pearl white prepainted base. Thanks in advance for any help....

Man, I Love that truck!!! Awesome....

Tom....I love the color combo....Are you going to clear it or leave it in suede??? I am kinda big on the "satin" finishes right now. Have a 32 that will be "satin" and planning a 53 Ford Conv in the works that will be satin white pearl.....

I have had this car for quite some time, using some old building methods. Even the clear has begun to yellow, but as long as it isn't next to another white car, we're ok....LOL... Gotta take some pic with the new camera

When do you have enough kits ?
Len Geisler replied to BIGTRUCK's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Ken, Here is my take on this one, I have begun to change my build style a little bit....I used to try to make everything perfect, and that caused a lot of "half-fast" builds if you get my mesning, but I have come to realize that at that rate I wont finish anything. I have eased up on myself a bit and have gotten more builds finfished this year than in quite some time. I am finishing number 6 now. With things like tamiya and testors laquer paints, it makes a very acceptable paint job much easier. I have also come to the truth that I will NEVER, EVER finish all of the kits, bodies etc that I have and have begun to liquidate a bit to help ease the load, plus it fees the cash to buy other things that will be used. I know I may get some heat for this but, that is the way it is... So how deos eevryone else feel about this??? Thanks for spaking the mind Ken....
