Sir, 1st I would like to say, that is one beautiful and detailed model..Love the color and stance. Engine detail is really nice..One question, Are those the slicks from the Nova SS kit or aftermarket?

72 Plymouth Roadrunner 426 HEMI 8 Pack
Maurice Henderson replied to AmericanMuscleFan's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
My God The detail you put into this model is phenomenal sir..The rear end and drums look realistic as hell..The engine block, WOW!!!..This is what I espire my modeling skills to become..Those parts looks as if you took them to Jerry Bickel Race Cars shop to have them built..Although Jerry passed last year, his team builds some the drag racing premiere Pro Mods in the country..This is in my top 20 models of my life time..Again, job well done sir!!! -
What's up my fellow modeler This is my 2nd post to this site..I'm a big WJ fan..I wanted to post a couple of my builds for all to see. They're my Warren's 98 white Firebird and his 97 car..The white car has decal I purchase from ebay and the blue I used his Olds Cutlass decals..The white was finished Nov 2023 and the blue was in 2010..I took some time from the hobby and during the pandemic I started again and it gave 1me something to do..The 55 was finished in early Jan 2024, but I still need to put a radiator hose on..For some reason I forget that on all my models, but their my shelf queens..The 55 was the 1st engine I wired based on some of the excellent advise I got from so many of you..Yes it has a front bupper, but it is removable The white Firebird was my 1st attempt at scratch building a parachute rack..Thank you all for your advice and welcoming to this community.

Maurice Henderson replied to dragcarz's topic in Drag Racing
Here are the Duster and 55 I'm currently working on..I ordered the Poppy Red on ebay..I backhalf the Hemi Dart chassis and combined the Duster and Dart interior..Needed some trimming..They are work in progress and will post them when done -
Thank you sir for the tips

No, I'm using 18 gauge wire and I scratch build the distributor out round tube styrene. I had the same thought about having to big wires.

These are my new projects I'm building..The Duster is Butch Leal's 71 Hemi Pro Stock car..I backhalf the the Duster chassis with the Hemi Dart rear end..I used the Hemi Dart interior and have a 3D Hemi motor to complete the build..The 55 Chevy is my interpretation of the 2 Lane Blacktop car..The 55 is going to be the 1st build I have ever wired the engine, so we will see how that goes..Any feedback from my modeling community will be helpful..The plan is to wire the Duster also and future builds..

Butch Leal’s 72 California Flash Duster
Maurice Henderson replied to dragcarz's topic in Drag Racing
Bro, thanks for the advise..I'm right now building the AMT 71 Duster..I'm using the 68 Hemi Dart as part of the build..I back half the Duster chassis and use everything from the engine, interior, wheels and rear end..Decals from Slixx..The only thing I don't like is the hood scoop, I may use the Hemi Dart hood scoop..I'm not sure until I cross that bridge..If you could reply on the color of paint you used would be a great help.
