Drag Paks can fall under Super Stock where they can run in the SS/DA (automatic) or SS/D (stick)..Both classes have and index of 10.20..They also can run Factory Stock Showdown which I said before run heads up with COPO Camaro's, and Mustangs..Drag Paks started running around 2009 in the NHRA, NMCA and you were in the FSS/AAA class. The HP determine which pulley you could use..If it was the 540 hp motor with the 2.9 Whipple charger, the upper pulley was 3.000 inches..The 630 hp with the 3.0 Whipple the upper pulley is 3.500 and lower was 7.530 inches. In 2011 you could get a 512 inch motor with standard equipment like a TCI power guide tranny, strange 9" rear end 9" rear slicks and open headers..In 2015 they offered either the 354SC or 436 Nautural Aspirated motors..99 % of the FSS cars use the 354SC motor..I hope I've answered your question.

Love the color and stance..You're right nice & clean right out of the box..Outstanding job my friend!!

Bro you build is really nice..For your 1st drag car really nice..For classes you can Google NHRA classes indexes or NHRA Factory Stock or Super Stock..You will get a breakdown of class indexes..If you type Factory Stock indexes you will see halfway down the list Factory Stock..It will show the class like FS/AAA..Google pics of Factory Stock cars and you will see different cars for the class..Factory Stock Showdown cars are a heads up class with Mustangs, COPO Camaros and Drag Pac Challengers that motors that can't be no bigger 350 cubic inch and supercharged on a 9" tires..Make 1500 hp and run 7.70's @180mph..You tube is great source.. Again outstanding build..

Bro, your Mustang is outstanding..The only thing it's missing is the Cal-Tracs bars for wheel hop..I see you put some FS decals on it..Instead of XX, I would put FS/AAA because it looks like you have an automatic in the the car..If it was a stick it would FS/AS..The build is really a nice rendering of those FS cars..I'm on a NHRA Top Sportsman team and love watching Super Stockers/Stockers run..The detail you put into this build is outstanding..Great build and I can't wait to see what comes out your head..The reason I would put XX on the car is because NHRA uses that for experimental cars...If you're calling it that, then you are correct. Not knocking your build because again, it's a Bitchin build!!!

Sir, I must say you did a really good job on the paint..I did the decals on mine build and had problems..I really like the wheelie bars you put on yours..There are probably 3 Billy the Kid builds on this forum that you should check out..Again, very nice build and welcome to the Fourm.

Mike, your triple build is really nice..I'm a Pro Stock guy..I really like the Vegas. You got me thinking, I need to get mine built before I find something else to do..Question, on the 72 where did you get the front rims from? I like them alot.
-
Dragcarz, Outstanding job..The stance is on point and the engine bay is nicely detailed..Paint is outstanding..I like the big meats also..I was wondering, What kit did you use to back-half the kit? It looks like made especially for your build.

Good Morning Forum 55 Chevy She's painted with PS-18 Metallic Purple..Used the 67 Chevelle chassis..I didn't like the rear slicks, so I used a set of Pro Stock slicks instead..Used the Chevelle's engine block and topped it with a Pro Stock intake and carbs..Interior tub is from the AMT 55 kit..Added a tack Lenco shifter and scratch build rool cage..Rims are from the parts box..Added a aftermarket wing and hood scoop from Ebay. 67 Chevelle I built this Chevelle because I didn't like the wheel/tire combination fit under the 55..It was painted in TS-54 Metallic Light Blue..I added a shifter from Morgan Automotive. The wheels and rims were purchases from Ebay..Wing is from the parts box..Enjoy and comment..

SOX & MARTIN 1980-81 DODGE OMNI PRO STOCK
Maurice Henderson replied to M W Elky's topic in Drag Racing
Mike, Outstanding job..I'm definitely a Sox & Martin guy..Using the snap kit as a starting point is not something most guys will think about..I have the 1965 Coronet snap kit that I plan to build into either a Stock or Super Stock build..The paint, fit and finish is really nice..This build is what modeling is all about when your creative juices flow..Job well done my friend. -
Zippi, that engine is on fire my friend..I love how you paint the tranny and left the pan home..Nice element to the build..Can't wait to see the finished product.

Maurice Henderson replied to Maurice Henderson's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Good Evening Forum Just an update on my Jeg Coughlin 67 Nova build..Basically done with the interior tub and roll cage..Engine, enginebay, body and rear end still work in progress..Mocked it up just to see what changes I would need to accomplish...Enjoy and comment. -
I just remembered the name of the club, it was Rhonda's Gas House!!!
-
Believe it or not, when I was in the military, me and my x-wife would attend this club in West Covina California that I can't recalled the name back in the 80s..The club was owner was Gas Rhonda..I got the nerve to ask him if was Gas Rhonda and he confirmed it..He had pictures of all his race cars in the club..We talked every time I came to club and sometimes would get in free..He problem had 10 pics of the white Mustang and Red Gasser Mustang everywhere..I know Gas would be very proud of your rendering of his car.

My friend, what a really outstanding build..When I look at it, it takes me back to Lions dragstrip and the days of the Gasser wars all through the Midwest tracks..You really hit it out the park!!!
-
Sir, your model is outstanding..That is definitely something different..I've seen a Volvo 850 at Drag Week it was bad like your build..That is unique as well thought out. If you disassemble this beauty put a big honking hemi..My friend you hit this out the park!!!

Jeg Coughlin 67 Bracket racing Nova Wagon
Maurice Henderson replied to Maurice Henderson's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
You're correct sir, I fat fingered the title. I ment to type 67 -
Good Evening Forum This is a build I have been working on for a year..I started with the 66 Nova chassis an the 67 Chevelle engine..I scratch build the bed and the roll cage using the 67 Chevelle as a starting point..Wheels are part box, the hood has a aftermarket 6"cowl hood. Paint will be Tymia Matt black with an aluminum tub painted with TS-17. The body is a resin piece that spent hours getting into shape and probably still have some work to do. The one thing about the interior is there are not a lot of pictures for it..I don't have Facebook or Instagram and don't want them..Hopefully next month at the Dallas NHRA race I ask Jeggie where I can get some pics.

Maurice Henderson replied to Mile High Scale Modeler's topic in Drag Racing
Great looking Nova my friend..I have a couple of these kits and I don't want to deal either with front clip..After seeing what you did, I can see my vision for a build..I love the rear stance you came up with..Gonna steal that won from you..Again great build. -
Really nice looking T-bird..The color is beautiful and detail, fit & finish are outstanding..Sir, you knocked it out the park!!!
-
What a beautiful paint job..Bro your 57 paint stand out really good..This is one of the best 57 Chevy Funny Cars builds I have ever seen..You should pat yourself on the back for this one..Outstanding job my friend.
-
I think it's 1/24 scale because I have this die cast plus 3 other Don Schumacher Funny Cars that Whit Bazmore drove for him..The detail is the same on all my die cast..I have about 40 Top Fuel, Funny Car and Pro Stocks in my collect..My good friend and fellow Air Force veteran Fast Jack Beckman drove for Schumacher and now is driving John Force's car.

Burch Leal's 71 Duster & Billy the Kid Pro Stock Demon

I used the Dart because, I wanted that old school look of the leaf springs setup that the 60/70 Super Stocks & Pro Stocks had. -
Burch Leal's 71 Duster & Billy the Kid Pro Stock Demon
Maurice Henderson replied to Maurice Henderson's topic in Drag Racing
Thanks for the tip M W..I was frustrated as hell with those decals..There was a problem with all of them. I always use hot water because that's what my older brother taught me..On the 3rd set, I tried using the roof decal and it disintegrated on me, so I painted the hood. -
