  1. Hi Sabeyah. Your builds look awesome. This is a great place to connect with others that enjoy the same hobby no matter what the skill level. And like Curt said, push yourself a little further each project and you will be rewarded. P.S. I'm saving for an airbrush myself.
  2. All the Michael's near me are now closed. My nearest real hobby store is a Hobby Lobby (30 min. drive) and the store is a hole in a strip mall in dire need of repair. Although the store was small it was still sparsely stocked. Some paint, some tools, a FEW kits (mostly military and Sci-Fi) and the rest was all RC racing. The person working saw my disappointment and kindly reminded me the selection was much better in the online store.
  3. Hi Jose, welcome. Anything on the bench?
  4. Hi David, you are referring to these. They come with a sticky pad to refresh the tips. I have not used them much yet. They should be handy with PE parts. The previous post shows micro-applicators. Like a tiny swab thay have an absorbent tip. Anytime I would usually grab a toothpick I'll try these. They are great for dabs of glue or paint. If your eyes are good enough they do great on things like dashboard knobs.
  5. Belated birthday haul all the way from Japan. I've never heard of Aoshima kits until now.
  6. Love these micro-applicators. And some other bits.
  7. I got new wheels and tires from Jay's Resin for my Moebius '64 Nova . Never used AM wheels. I'll be reaching out for paint options and fitting. They look bigger than kit wheels.
  8. I'm torn. I like going street classic look but then I thought hot rod. Any opinion? I like the purple. I like the combo on the one with red stripe tires. Where can I buy red stripe tires. I'm considering trying to lower the stance, but I have no idea what that entails. Would i have to do extensive mods to use drag slicks?
  9. That's pretty wild the box art shows Timberline Lodge on Mt. Hood, Oregon. That's less than 100 miles from me! Cool. AND, I'm working on a Nova as well. I don't know what restaurant that is on the box.
  10. Thank you Will. And thanks for following along. It's nice to have sounding boards and encouragement. Moving on to... CAL
  11. We're going to call this one done. I spent additional time learning and trying different things. I have a mental list a mile long of flubs and things I know I can and will improve on (the finish). I enjoy that anyone's skill level can go up with practice. It's great to be back at an activity I can focus on clear headed. So for now, Cool Mustang. ...more kits to conquer. *Any constructive criticisms encouraged. Be kind. For instance, "Cal, you forgot the door locks." Cheers, Cal
  12. What is Curbside? Same as Out Of Box, or no?
  13. What does this accomplish exactly? A shadowing affect?
  14. Hobbylinc stopped by today. I'm not used to buying multiple kits at one time. How do I decide which one to start next?
  15. I'm going to try out these Pick-up-Sticks and new Bending tools. *They will be car related.
  16. Fantastic work.
  17. D I would enjoy seeing progress pics of the dash. It looks very intricate.
  18. One of my first builds since I got back to the bench. Always one of my favs as well. Nothing like the beauty TJ has going.
  19. Still new to the PE world. Next time I will research the parts further. Thanks for the input. Still, I hope the look better than the molded on wipers.
  20. I'm having trouble visualizing what kind of bend to put on these wipers. To look like these... Does anyone have pics?
