  1. Thank you!
  2. Thank you. This one was a lot of work
  3. Thank You!
  4. I must be a real glutton for punishment. I bid low on another old Revell Speedster kit and won. I do like that it is a vintage boxed copy though.
  5. Thank You!
  6. Thank You! This really is so much a nicer kit than the 1957 Thunderbird.
  7. Thank You! 😊
  8. Thank you! I like the 56 best myself, only because the 55 has 6 volt system and 56 12v. The stretch of the back for 57 to fit the spare puts it out of proportion IMHO. Thank You! Thank You!
  9. Thank you! Thank You! I couldn’t decide between Fiesta Red and Peacock blue, I really like both colors for 1956. What made the decision is I have done a bunch of blue builds but not red. Thank you!
  10. Thank you!
  11. Thank you!
  12. Build is complete and photos posted to Under Glass:
  13. This is an older AMT 1956 Thunderbird kit I picked up from a vendor at the SoCal Open Model car show last year. Now that they have re-released the AMT 1956 Thunderbird kit I may have to get another one to make a 1955 Thunderbird if this one goes well. Fiesta Red paint from Scale Finishes, splash paints 2K clear. A photo-etch detail kit and Kelsey Hayes Wire wheels with Wide White pad printed tires from AMT. In case you missed the WIP thread: I decided to take a photo with the 1957 Thunderbird I built last year.
  14. Decided to make a miniature of the kit box to put in the trunk.
  15. Almost there, just a few little things and I will be taking pictures for the Under glass section. Photo-etch wipers, catheter tubing antenna and mini model box.
  16. Thank you! Almost there!
  17. Getting really close, I should be able to finish it this weekend. Installed the headlights, and sealed. Added he bumpers and photo-etch details. Created the windows for the hardtop and added a foam headliner. Headlights added and rear sealed. the clear glass that came with is a solid “No”. Created the windows and added a headliner. keys waiting in seat. added photo-etch details. getting really close.
  18. Thank you. I got the Correct Fiesta Red from Scale Finishes this time. I still cleared with Splash Paints 2K. Afraid to risk changing the clear.
  19. Installed the photo-etch grill in the body and assembled the body and chassis. Starting to look like a car. Installed the taillights and rear LEDs. added clear Uv resin for the backup lenses and clear red reflectors.
  20. Installed the LED wiring harness to the chassis. Added the detailing to the engine compartment and engine itself. Installed the engine and radiator. Chassis is assembled ready for final assembly. The air cleaner is designed to be removable. wet sanded and polished body. reflection after final polish ready for final assembly.
  21. Thanks. I know of one set he made I want to order, but I was hoping to look at what others he makes. Hopefully whatever the cause will get resolved.
  22. I went to look at his decals on his Fotki site and he seems to be blocked now. Is he no longer around?
  23. Starting to work on final detailing and assembly. A long way yet to go. I only trial fit the body, still to be wet sanded and polished.
  24. Got the last of the airbrush work done now on to detail painting. I even got the carpet flocking done and painted surgical tape that will become the seatbelt webbing. There was a problem with the hood and I ended up having to strip the top back down to the bare plastic and respray it. Lesson learned, 2k over lacquer good, lacquer over 2k VERY bad.
