  1. Fenton Sharks but not Cragars if I remember reading,David Belcarz who found and restored the car said he had a hard time finding those wheels
  2. Next up while I gather parts for my Brockway/ Montone dump build. A mash up of Monogram's 69 Bee kit with a Texas 3D Hemi and a Harts Parts Ramcharger hood and bench seat, Fireball offset Mopar rims for the rear and some parts box wheels for the front that sorta look like Fentons ,lol .Gonna try Splash Paints F8 Green on this (1st time for me with his stuff) and STS custom made the decals for me
  3. Thanks!...........nope,,Mack Duplex , Tony got this truck from a company he "acquired" lol
  4. She's done,,,,,,,Paulie left his Playboy mag on the dash if ya want to scroll through it
  5. I use the lines on mine too until the 1st wipe with laq thinner ,,,,lol
  6. Brian when your done you should send pics to the manufacturer! Looks A+!
  7. Gary..........your cutting mat needs more paint and glue smears all over it............other than that she looks great!!! lol
  8. I got it after seeing results on some Facebook model pages,,,I used it on the chrome on the Mack garbage truck,,works great and inexpensive,,,
  9. Brian,,I use a lot of stuff from Microscale for stripes,,etc Microscale Decals: Stripes
  10. Gary,,try this stuff,,it's brushable and air brush friendly ,, Amazon.com: Liquid Silver Leaf Paint Kit - Alcohol-Based Quick Dry Ultra Shiny Metallic Gilding Paint for Crafts, Resin Art, DIY Decor | High Gloss Finish with Varnish | 2 x 30ml Bottles : Arts, Crafts & Sewing
  11. Thanks Brian,,yeah I removed most of the 3D printed "lines" and replaced with brass rod and some CTM fittings and hose I had left over from the FDNY wrecker.I used one of the PTO's you sent as a hydraulic motor for the winch ,it was just a drum as part of the 3D print I'll do some light weathering and have to "trash out" the business end yet! ..............my apologies to Anthony Soprano and his "Waste Management" business ,,,lol
  12. ................packer is one with the frame,,, still lots to do ,,right now fabbing a frame mounted hyd tank . The guys want me to hurry up so they can grab a sandwich at Satriale's 😉 The rear axle spacing center to center looked wide to me ,even when I mocked it up ,but it measures 60 inch ,axle center to axle center which is what Mack shows with a quick search (54-60) ..........have to make a stack brace yet ,,,lights,,,,some weathering too
  13. yeah Jeff this kit is def. a handful , but as a bonus you get a lot of extra parts! I thought it would be similar to the R685 kit ,,but it's got a lot of quirks !
  14. ..............cab is on and hood attached and aligned ,,,started putting on all the do-dads ,I'll do the whole cab and then start adding the details to the packer and then attach it
  15. Thanks Jeff,,,if you haven't already, check out the M&R wheels Brian (BK9300) used on his Western Star plow truck build ,,now those puppies are spot on!
  16. Thanks Brian,,,they were all a pretty rough resin casting but they cleaned up pretty good ,,one of these days I'll spring for a set of M&R wheels after seeing how yours came out !
  17. Call it a U600 then ,,,lol yours looks good Greg ! I can recall seeing a lot of offset cab Mack garbage trucks back in the late 70's-80's -90's...whether they were DM's or U's I can't recall but I would think garbage haulers would spec the DM ,,just to make the trek thru the landfill! If I remember correctly the U models used a single 1/4 inch frame rail, whereas the DM in single frame configuration had a 3/8 frame rail, and the DM in double frame configuration had a 3/8 outer frame rail and a 1/4 inch inner rail. The DM frame is also a much higher section from top to bottom and tapers between the cab and drive axle(s). Most DM's had an 18,000 lb. or 20,000 lb. front axle and 38,000, 44,000, 55,000 or 65,000 lb. tandems or the 38,000 lb single drive axle, usually on 22 inch or 24 inch rubber and most U models shared the same hood as the DM
  18. Chassis is on full rubber now ,driveshaft made up with support bearing..shoulda shortened up the one section to the bearing more ,,it is what it is..and yes it's out of phase,, too quick with the CA,,,,lol, installed the muffler and stack used solder for the exhaust pipe,,,painted the Leach ,,have to add hydraulic hoses and stuff,,,set the body and cab on to see how it looks,,,,I'll have to trim some off the frame in the rear some to get it back further a bit ,,miscalculation on my part 😛 Started painting interior bits.............off to Ossining N.Y. tomorrow to deliver a new ambulance
  19. Thanks Dom,,,,it's gonna be an "independent trash hauler" with a bit of tongue in cheek thrown in ,,,still working on those decals on my ink jet printer
