  1. That thing is looking great Gary!
  2. A Cummins would be good with that hood Jeff
  3. We're gonna need someone to 3D print an 8.2 Detroit Diesel for that, lol ! Nice project Charles !
  4. No bench time today,,,had to work ,,,my part time gig is turning out to be more an overtime gig ! ......I'll just have more $$ for the hobby thats all ,lol ,,,but anyway,,,I found this video,,,I'll do my under reach pretty much like this has,,the 600 Holmes kinda gets lost in there! ,,,,looks like a little bit of this and a little bit of that,,,that old KW has a lot of stories to tell no doubt!
  5. That HiBinder is my favorite!
  6. Nice builds Jeff! The Hayes is sweet!
  7. Looks great Gary,,,the round front fenders really give the old school look!
  8. Merry Christmas guys......... did a bit last night and this morning,,,installed the KW front axle...it will work ,wasn't sure and test fitted Jamie's front floats ,,,looks like measure twice and cut once worked on centering the axle,,good guess work too, height looks about right have to see once the rears are in place, lol, hogged out the interior tub and the cab fits with the engine in place so I should be ok,,,and I had to swap the oil pan to a rear sump to clear the axle ..which I figured I had to do anyway,,cobbled up an A/C condenser and trans cooler and I guess I have to make slack adjusters and brake chamber push rods which Revell neglected to do .Extended front of frame for push bumper and winch,,I have a KFS winch which I think I can modify to fit
  9. Thats looking sweet Gary!
  10. Thanks Brian! Thanks Jeff! I think this is my toughest build yet
  11. Charge Air Cooler/radiator cobbled up ,used some CTM rad mesh,K&S aluminum tube and styrene for the CAC,used some styrene and a Parts by Parks aluminum pulley for the fan drive,,just had to nip a bit off each blade of the Kenworth fan .... front engine mount support bar in place .Sanding and filling of hollow air bags continues-almost there . Hood-rad-engine-cab-interior tub-wrecker body test fit -I think it will fly,,may have to hog out some of the thick interior tub to clear the back of the engine and gain just a bit of room behind the cab ,it still has to come closer to the hood anyway ,it's gonna be close ,,,worse case I stretch the frame a bit .Changed the outlet orientation of the turbo and altered the inlet of the intake manifold .Shot the Allison aluminum and attached to the engine,,,still needs the pto and hyd pump ,,,should have room
  12. A couple of these were started in 23 and finished in 24
  13. Gary,,I use Tamiya chalk,,,easy to use and if ya don't like it comes off with a damp paper towel
  14. I have my tablet at my bench if I need to research something or in this case watch Detroit Wayno on Youtube...lol check this episode out on the Old 2 Stroker Youtube channel >
  15. Had to work a few hours today ..now back at the bench...had to revise the rad assy some in order to have room for the CAC and still have hood clearance ,,sanding and contouring the hollow air bags....added pulley and fan drive to the MP8 which also required modifying some plumbing that was casted into the front of the engine,,no biggy ..I think that engine might have been set up for a Volvo cabover,,,just a guess,,,,intake air inlet will also have to change for hood clearance which I figured would have to be done anyway ...pics later or tomorrow
  16. Yeah I knew that Volvo owns Mack,,I wasn't sure where the MP8 came from..an existing kit or what ,ST Supply sent it to me in a bag with his label on it
  17. Thanks Brian,,the cab/hood is going to need a bit of sanding and filler ,,,printing lines in some areas ,,the engine will be a tight fit the frame will have to be notched to clear the filter/turbo/alt ,ST Supply has it as 1/25th but seems a bit over that ...once I get the radiator situated I'll get the engine in and fan drive,,might have to alter the belt/pulley arrangement ,not sure yet and also the intake from the CAC
  18. Just the windshield ,I'll use acetate for the side/back
  19. No work today so I had some bench time this morning,,cobbled up some hood hinges.(I'll add more detail, reinforcement angles later) and started modifying the KW radiator into something close to the Mack along with the CAC ,built up some more putty on the hollow air bags,,,should be enough now to contour to shape.
  20. Nice chafe guard on the fuel lines ! Really really nice Brian ! above and beyond!!
  21. The pump looks great all painted up Brian! I have seen that same style Vickers pump used as a power steering pump on a lot of trucks,,,at least back when I was working on them
  22. Gary "........so not sure what I may do." I have this same sign nailed above my bench ! lol !
