  1. That came out sweet Lee,,,the tires,,,,yep,,,,they make it!
  2. Thanks Lee.......Those were from the KW kit.... I have small Mack decals that might fit ,,if not I should be able to scan them and make smaller ones on the inkjet decal paper
  3. ..........well I worked a couple hours today then came home and the wife and I de-Christmas'd the house ,which is always fun (rolling eye smiley again) I took the outside stuff down yesterday ,,,,thats as much fun as putting it up..if not more ......(picture Chevy Chase...National Lampoon...get my drift ..lol ) put that stuff away which led to a full clean up of the basement storage room. I did manage to do some on the wrecker,,,some I did last night,,,the Revell Chrome , massaged the cab got most of the print lines sanded out and started drilling for the horns,,etc .Started painting the interior tub,,,did a final test shot of the Sikkens FDNY red paint and the mix ratio nailed down 1:1:1/4 paint-reducer-hardener. Making the mirror brackets out of aluminum and use the KW kit mirror heads ,,, see what tomorrow brings !............ohhhhh and I had to fill the air horns,,,they were hollow too
  4. lol......just some old trucker humor from the peanut gallery Dan
  5. ...............just put some Jakes on it,,,it'll be fine "rolling eye smiley"
  6. Ron.......you can always go with the "Front Brake Delete" option ........ lol
  7. I got all he had the other day to replace the hollow ones from my Revell kit ,,,sorry Ron....I've been looking for the Auslowe ones too ,,nobody has any
  8. That thing looks good Lee , who's kit is that? I know Atlantis has the repop Monogram AC with solid tires
  9. Your build is on a roll Dan! Maybe just try and soften the glue joint on the crossmember with Tamiya Thin cement and slowly work it free
  10. .....................that was probably a Monday build at Macungie Assembly 🙂
  11. That's not that god awful bad,,,the MP8 for the wrecker has a lot of molded in stuff too ...just gotta use some artistic license with the paint brush 😉
  12. Front sump would be in a cabover if memory serves me correctly
  13. Is Terry from STS on this forum ? Maybe he can make this right with you Zip
  14. That came out nice Zip!
  15. .............I think we need a 3D print 1/25th scale Aeroquip hose crimping machine now !
  16. Thanks Dom! Yeah a heavy rescue wrecker would be nice
  17. Looks great Brian,,,,I'll use that clevis mod on the wrecker build
  18. I vote for that! Painted Cummins Red with some chrome do-dads sprinkled about !
  19. .................back in the day I had one of the old all cast aluminum Anchorlock 30/30's darn near took my arm off when I was changing it,,, let go corroded away from the salt
  20. Yeah I'm shaving them off flat
  21. I got a few sets of these coming from Paul at ST ,,, so I'll do as much as I can on the frame and wait till I get those, plenty of work to do in the mean time ,probably massage the cab and get it painted. The Moebius trailer kit I did had some nice brake parts and air bags.
  22. ............well on top of the hollow air bags(putty took care of those) we have 4 hollow rear 30/30 chambers, I found 4 in my parts bin ,,,have to come up with slacks,,had 2 slacks for the front,,,I think they were from CTM ,,have to round up some more. Assembled some more parts on the rears and added some nut and bolt detail ,,fabbed an intermediate shaft out of aluminum tube .Got some roll around parts bins for Christmas,,they fit under my benches so that will work out great and free up room on the top,,,,sorting out my boxes of parts little by little
  23. Big Cam 350/400 or an N14 and the L10 ,,I think ST Supply / Jamie or Sourkraut has an N14 ..not sure if anyone does an L10 ,I think the only inline Cat available in around 1992 was a 3406 .I think you could still get the 3208 V8 . I think the series 60 Detroit was available too. If I recall the bigger Cummins and Cat engines were installed tilted to the pass side for cab clearance
