  1. Scott, i know a lot of medics from the the U. Several are now retired, or moved on like myself . We use to do mutual aid with West Orange , sometimes I miss being up North . That is until I drive up and hit the traffic! Nothing like Essex County !
  2. Brian, thank You, my fabrication is ok, no where as advanced or detailed like yours and others here are .
  3. Charles, thank you for the information , I usually just use the kit engines as is. I will attempt to convert and customize the motor for this build.
  4. Scott, more great info, I have to dig through my parts. I am sure I have a Mack engine someplace.
  5. Thanks Gary Jeff, yes it is quick and easy, sometimes I will sit and draw the body on paper, or do a mock up in cardboard. The quick and easy way has me redoing things I didn’t anticipate or like once putting the parts together. Patience is not always my strongest point, LOL
  6. Thanks Gary, hope to have some updates soon. Been busy winterizing the boat ,probably won’t get bench time until late next week.
  7. Brian, Wow! Amazing details, even the smallest parts which may be not seen are well thought out and executed,
  8. Lots of rain today, so been at the bench most of the morning. Started building the hose. Bed and cabinets. I spring clamped the 4 sections together and filed all the edges to match. The with drum sander , did. The wheel openings so they would also match.
  9. IThe kit came with window gaskets, they seemed way to thick so I am sanding the edges to thin them down
  10. Thanks for the info Scott. And you just gave me an idea for a future build. I like the cab on this aerial ladder. Just have to figure out what I can use as the base cab before I build the cab extension.
  11. thank you Vincent, it’s the biggest pumper I have made, probably won’t build another one like this. Thank you!
  12. I can give the Mack engine a shot, would not know exactly what tweaks I would have to make for a gas engine
  13. Thanks Brian, with the holidays progress will be slow.
  14. Scott, great ad, they were some quality manufacturers. To bad they couldn’t survive!
  15. It is very nice, everything needed for completing the cab came with the kit, all those parts 3D printed as well
  16. Jeff , nice work on the chevrons and lights. Overall truck looks great!
  17. Looks like this is going to be a heavy duty monster!
  18. Thank you Scott! Cool that your dad worked there. I had no idea there was a Maxim dealer in E.O. Hmmm, does anyone make a Waukesha in 1:25?
  19. This build is finally complete . There were a few challenges along the way, but they were overcome . Thank you Charles for your help and guidance!
  20. Charlie, nice build and refit , well done!
