  1. Wow, another one well done!! You keep moving that bar higher, Ira!! Keep reaching with that awesome imagination!! This one is so cool!
  2. The wash really makes those parts pop! Nice!
  3. Very nice builds on both counts!!
  4. A friend has this picture taken by another pilot of his brother flying a Harvard... So, I decided to build a 1/48 scale replica as best as I could manage using only this picture as a basis...and online research...I gave it to him today in a display case with some info I found online related to this aircraft, #3839, RCAF, Royal Canadian Air Force. His brother was a flight instructor at the time. Anyhow, here is the model. I used the 1/48 scale Occidental kit and scratch built the exhaust extention (there was a tube that ran through the exhaust to help provide heat to the pilots) And in the case: Enjoy! Comments and feedback accepted! More photos here
  5. Wow! That is a very cool build, Ira...love the lights in the base. Great idea!
  6. Very nice build, Jim...the boat, trailer and van look great!,
  7. Thanks, Joe...I don't think I paid that much for the kit!
  8. Thanks, guys...will keep an eye on the landing gear...I put just enough weight to keep it from tail-sitting! No masking on the turret or canopies...inside and out done freehand with a narrow brush...and a light hand with a toothpick to fix any, er, misses!!
  9. First plane I've built in a while...Enjoyed the build! (Used lots of fishing weights in the nose!) More pictures here...comments/questions welcomed.
  10. Started with this picture as the basis of a replica of a car bought by a friend in around 1950... Here's the model: I used the "hot rod" sedan kit and used the wheels/tires, steering wheel, shifter, bumpers and cropped gas cap from the Sedan Delivery kit...built as a curbside and attached to a lightly weathered base for a display case. Personalized the Ontario plates from a plate decal set (WaterMark, I think). Modified the tail light/plate assembly to better match the original. More pictures here. Thanks, for looking...comments and questions welcomed.
  11. Very nice build, Allen!
  12. Stunning work, Mark...it sure is coming together! Thanks, for sharing this build and your skills...fabulous!
