  1. I honestly prefer any kind of Mopar over a 68 Shelby GT500, but this is one of my non-Mopar favorites. I figure I could show ya'll what I do when I build a model. I've built this kit at least twice before, the detail is very toy-like. So I decided to mate the body to AMT's 1967 Mustang Fastback. I plan to paint it Lime Gold with white stripes. Like this: I started by test-fitting a taped together interior/undercarriage. It actually fit on the 68 body like it was meant for it. Then I cut out the inner fenders from the '67 body and put them on the 68. I added some styrene stripes to the edges to make up for what I cut away. They fit pretty well on the 68 body.I bought the photo-etch kit for it and drilled out the grill for the PE part. Then I scribed the panel lines, sanded off the mold lines, and went through the sand/fill reapeat process for all the sink marks on the body. The wheels were not the correct wheels for the 68 Shelby. I found some 3D printed ones from Canuck 3D Models. I got them in yesterday and the look amazing. This is about what it looks like right now. I'll post another progress report soon. Thanks for looking.?
  2. Mopars are my favorite muscle cars, right above the mustang. When I came across that GTX I was drooling over it as you could probably imagine. The color of your GTX is one of my favorites for Mopars. You did such an amazing job on the GTX! I can only imagine what the Demon will look like! What color do you plan on painting it?
  3. Oh man I can't wait to see it! This car is going to look killer! The 69-70 Roadrunner/GTX, is probably my favorite muscle car of all time! That and the fact you did such an outstanding job on it. It looks amazing.
  4. amazing! I love the patina.
  5. Are you going to completely machine the engine like you did the 70 GTX? That car looked absolutely stunning!
  6. Amazing job on the car! The paint finish turned out great!
  7. Thank you guys!
  8. Looking great! Can't wait to see it finished!
  9. Yes sir I'll be watching. I completely understand being slow, I'm the same way. The slower you go the better the car will turn out.
  10. Thank you! Can't wait to see the car when you finish it!
  11. Man I just came across this WIP but OMG it's freaking awesome! The detail?. You might as well just shrink a 1972 Demon into 1/25 scale. I'm definitely gonna be following this one! What machines do you use for making your parts?
  12. Thanks guys! I really appreciate it!
  13. I will! Thank you!
  14. Man great builds! The Daytona is my fav!
  15. Man its looking great!
  16. Man that convertible looks amazing! I really love the color. Thanks for the help!
  17. Hi all! I know I haven't had a WIP page for this car but Its's my first finished product while I've had a profile here and wanted to show it to ya'll. The paint is MCW Panther Pink and it's been cleared in MCW 2K clear. It's been polished with Tamiya compounds and Meguiar's Cleaner Wax. Everything else has been either painted with MCW, Tamiya LP or Acrylics, and Alclad Chrome. All the wiring is either Detail Master or random things I could find around the house. Thank you so much for looking!
  18. Thanks! I Really appreciate it! You're helping me out so much. I'll show pics when I'm done with it.
  19. Nice man! Build looks amazing.
  20. Man the car looks amazing!! Where did you get the LEDs? I want to try to light up my next project. It might be hard though because my next project is AMTs 1968 Shelby GT500. I'm gonna try to kitbash it with the chassis/interior of AMT's 67 Mustang. Hopefully it'll look like this when finished.
  21. What type of clear do you use?
