  1. That's a really cool build, reminds me of a TROG style build.
  2. Yup, like this. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6973026 One thing I like about the one I printed is the look and it has a stand so it doesn't fall over.
  3. I actually like the gutted look a lot. It would be cool if you got a 3d printed tranny with the clutch detail and set that in and also hung some loose rad hoses to show a truck that had the engine blown at the track and its getting rebuilt.
  4. Yup, thats a cool body and looks to be nice quality. The supports are there to help it stay in place while it essentially grows off of the build plate.
  5. My thing now that I have access to a nice and reliable printer is that any time I see something cool that I want. I wanted a cleaning pot for the ole airbrush so I looked online for a file, and sure enough I found one. The unfortunate thing about it is that the threads are not a standard size so I will not be able to use it on a mason jar.
  6. It seams like round 2 has been doing this on a couple of there models. I know they did it on there coke charger snap kit. The only good thing about those is the were deep dish and I can use them as rear wheels and look right at home in pie crust and wrinkle wall slicks.
  7. Ooh, the pain im feeling from just looking at that. My daily driver has less miles than that on it. I guess its good that the bushings will get replaced though.
  8. More like off the road this happend across the street from me as fresh snow is falling at midnight.
  9. You guys may not understand this reference but...
  10. Nope its actually an old AMT (truly a MPC kit. The original edition was in 1964 with the tudor sedan, the body was emedietly replaced with the woody and truck in the next release. Its not a bad kit, but just be warned, the frame is one with the fenders, but thats not a big set back at all. I was at my LHS recently and they had this kit for $40 (I dont buy kits from them because there so darn expensive). Heres a rebuilder I scored of the original issue of this kit with the sedan body (I dont think the Halibrand wheels are in it anymore though).
  11. Man this is driving me MAD, I high definition!
  12. Very cool layed back look there, it fits perfectly! At this point you might not be dealing with squirrels anymore, at this point there rabbits because of how fast you jump from project to project 🤣. I think im the opposite of you though, I can barely start a project without finishing another. There is a downside to that though, sometimes there's a waiting period while im waiting for stuff to cure like paint.
  13. Yeah, my local club did this for there wild mushroom concept layout that they are building, it essentially doubles your track in the same space. The cardboard model really helped visitors visualize what the end goal was going to be like.
  14. Oh, sorry about that 🤣, I can see how that would read that way. I appreciate that you went out of your way to explain that, hopefully someone who glances upon that will get use out of it. I was originally just throwing it out in the air of a quick blurb of my "master plan" in my head.
  15. Oh im not new to model railroading, I was a part of a local model railroad club and have lots of friends there. I have reserched the BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH out of this and have drawn and redrawn plans, nothing im happy with. I also cant really afford building a layout right now. My main reason for this would be for a programing track and running space for models when im not at the club. The reason I haven't built it yet is because im on a really big model car kick and the trains are in the closet in a box.
