Tokyo must not be good for sightseeing as most Japanese women don’t show their shoulders, belly or cleavage and most don’t wear leggings (yoga pants etc) unless they’re doing yoga or sports.

Purgatory for Bozo, I think doing that kid's show for so many years should have been punishment enough.

Had to get something done on the 40 this week. "B" pillar has been removed, so have the door handles and the side trim. Also the door seam has been welded shut. Now if this next photo looks a bit odd it's because I took that photo of the 40 Fordor from up above and scaled it to match the body of the kit. Then I cut it down and inserted it inside the body. Sort of like Lionel passenger cars when they had the cellophane windows with the silhouettes of passengers. Well, not exactly as there isn't anyone sitting in the car. Sorry, I digress. No, actually what I am doing here is figuring out where to place the new "B" and "C" pillars. You can see how much the "B" pillar needs to move forward. I was hoping to have more done at this point but I'm waiting for some styrene strips that are in the mail. Hopefully the USPS does there job and I can move forward on this. 'tll then Happy Trails.

Time to figure out this exhaust. To work up the side exit I decided to go with dual pipes out each side. Started by taking some brass tubing and soldering two short pieces together for the exit pipes. Then with some styrene rod I fabricated the pipe leading up to the exit tip. These are going to run down the side of the chassis then through the frame rails. Eventually there will be two mufflers with both the inlet and outlet pipes facing forward. Trying to poke the pipes out the side of the rocker left them right smack dab through the chrome rocker trim. Decided to take the trim and go up and over the opening. Initially was considering going all the way around the opening but it just didn't look right. Had thought about removing the trim completely but leaving it for now. And here is our mock-up. What do you think?

Pinned to the wall was a notice that the model car show today was cancelled, boy was Carl pissed as he just drove three hours.

Nice to see we're moving forward. I always likes those AMT 40 Ford rims. I almost used them on my 41 Plymouth Woody but I never was able to get a satisfactory hubcap for them.

How to make door arm rests
LennyB replied to slusher's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Carl similar to what Les said, I like to take left over bits of sprue to make armrests. File a flat area along one side for the top of the armrest and then leave the lower section somewhat curved. I will shape one long piece and then cut it to length afterwards so all the armrests have the same profile. Then you can file out a “notch” on the inside so your passengers have a place to grab. -

I suspect that it doesn't make any difference if you delete the photos from a post you quote. I often do that myself as well as any text that isn't pertinent to my response to aid in clarity. But you are not actually uploading those photos again. The original pic is still being used in your reply. If you look at the file name of a photo in a quote you will see it is the same as the name of the photo in the original post. If it was a second copy of the same photo the name would be different, most likely name(1).jpg for example.

Cool idea for a project. I'll be watching.

Nice added touch there Greg. And yes, that was an aftermarket item, I have seen some that were quite elaborate. I would imagine you would need to have pretty good eyes to read some of the from behind the wheel.
