  1. Maybe he's stocking up on TP now that he's run out of eggs.
  2. WisenheimeršŸ˜ (yeah, like I should talk)
  3. That's simple, I built a drop top 40 back in the 80's.
  4. Game of touch football got real serious when OJ showed up to challenge us from beyond the grave and brought his Ex with him.
  5. Thanks guys, I hope I can do it justice. The paint is going to be the (not so) fun part.
  6. Me too😯
  7. I've been gathering up parts for this build for quite a while. Anyone who has watched Roadkill should be familiar with this car. I've never done a patina paint job so I figured this would be a worthy subject to start with. This is our goal. And sorry guys, it does not have a flathead. Had an old AMT 39/40 Tudor Sedan beater that I thought would be a good candidate. This body has had several different paint colors over the years. Went from black to orange to sitting in the purple pond for weeks because the paint was thick headed. This was a 70's issue of the kit that was molded in Maroon, back when Lesney ran the ranch. They had the best decals back then didn't they. I think the guy who designed these went on to work at Burger King. Fenders were from an earlier release and were molded in white. Also from a 39/40 kit as I needed to use the standard grill for this masterpiece of junk. While this was soaking I came across a resin 4-dr body on pukebay for $20.00 that I thought would make my life easier. Because in addition to the thick paint my body was melted slightly in the lower right rear. I made the mistake of buying it. It's a Vic's Resin and it turned out to be more work then it's worth. It was warped when I got it which a little hot water was able to resolve. But even after this you can see it doesn't fit the AMT chassis. Then it also is not a good rendition. If you look at the stock vehicle the "C" pillar is slanted forward, the resin body is not. That pillar is also too far to the rear making the third side window smaller then it should be. The "B" pillar also needs to be moved closer to the front. So if I have to go move both pillars and add a slant to "C" and re-scribe the door lines, I might as well go back to the original AMT body . So now we start working on the AMT body. As I mentioned the body was slightly melted in the right rear. I think it was laid down on a hot soldering iron at some point. Filled the melted bit with some sprue-goo and we should be good. Also missing half our firewall. Well, maybe not half, 30%? The next part of this which I'm going to torture myself with is I am going to try to use the chassis from a Revell '48 Ford Woody that is left over from my '41 Plymouth Woody project. That's right, the Plymouth is sneaking in here again. Only because I live by the philosophy WWJD. That "J" stands for Jim people. I know you thought I meant Jesus. As far as I know Jesus didn't build any AMT model kits. He did build a WMT Chalice once. How do I know? I dug it up last week on Oak Island while Marty and Rick were sleeping. Not sure if the chassis idea is going to work, or if it is just crazy thinking. The Revell chassis is longer. Maybe it will just be a mash-up of the two. Anyway for now I will leave you with a preview video of the Roadkill bootleg Ford. See ya later....
  8. Situation diffused when I spoke to his commanding officer and he ripped him a new one and told him I can park anywhere I like.
  9. What are you gonna do with the headlights then, paint the trim rings or mold everything into the fender. I think I would go with 39 headlights, painted trim rings. As far as the top, chop it. Here a spare if you need it.
  10. We don’t need no stinkin bumpers or door hinges, they interrupt the flow of this silky smooth body.
  11. Valuable lessons can be learned by keeping one’s mouth shut and listening.
  12. Likes can be found in the lower right corner in case you haven’t figured it out yet.
  13. Ship set sail on a three hour tour and years later the Captain and Gillian were still fight over who got them lost.
  14. Cooling fins, that looks like a VW cylinder head.
  15. Fly boy Jones thought he could make an airplane out of an old Tiki Hut, turned out it made a better boat.
  16. Those are some well endowed girls, hope they don't make the car nose heavy. Looks like we have nice balance flow on the intake risers, Jimbo must have measured twice. The front stance looks good the way the wheels are tucked in the fenders. Is the track narrower then on the Revell chassis?
