  1. We are our own worst critics. Great model, you deserve the award.
  2. Wow! Great work.
  3. Great model Ron, very convincing!
  4. Great model. Nice detail work on the interior.

Thanks for the kind words Harry. I've been picking up some 30's classics on eBay to attempt. Rust-oleum 'Painter's Touch' rattle can, Gloss Warm Yellow. Picked it up at the hardware store. Thanks for the compliment!
  6. Ain't that the truth Rich? Has happened to me more than once.

Thanks for all the encouraging comments. This is my first 'pre-war' car in a long time and I appreciate everyone who took the time to comment.
  8. Really cool collection and the time with dad has to be awesome!
  9. X2, plus what Harry mentioned about FREE. Any software has a learning curve, and when they revise it you have to relearn it. Life on computers, whaddya gonna do?
  10. I just recently started shopping on eBay and I've scored several of the classic 30's kits I've been looking for for less than $20 shipped. I just bid what I'll pay, if I get it fine, if not there'll be another.
  11. Great model! No one seems to do any LM Sportsman cars, I think you nailed it.
  12. Looking good!
  13. The only disappointing performance to me was Katy Perry. I don't remember what song she did, just that she butchered it. My first album was Sgt. Pepper, it was all downhill from there
  14. Great looking model! I like it a lot.

The lowering is a marginal improvement, but as Skip's photo shows the tires need to be much bigger IMO. I see I should have made the running board steps chrome instead of black .
  16. Simply amazing. You and Harry put together some top-notch pieces. Looking forward to more!
  17. It's not a bad looking car, but it doesn't reach out and grab you like a Ferrari should. It suffers from the same malady as all cars these days, they all look alike!
  18. That is sweet Tulio! Great model.

So I finished this one last night. Built it as a curbside as there is little detail on the chassis and the engine. The multi-piece body isn't too bad, there are things I would do differently if I build another but I'm pretty pleased with the way it came out. Comments welcome, thanks for looking! In my opinion the tires/wheels are too small for the car, but it doesn't really show in those giant wheelwells. I may attempt the '48 Lincoln at some point.
  20. Great job, I like it!
  21. It's a shame, but I get that it's a niche not many folks are into. I'm currently working on the Challenger I and it's an awesome kit, although the instructions could be MUCH better! If they are the same as the original (I've got the Hot Rod Monster Machines issue with Ivo's dragster) then that could have been part of the problem!
  22. Nice. I always liked this car.
  23. Cool! Love the subject, the Iron Man deserves it
  24. Another interesting story, one man's take on 3D printing at home.... http://www.computerworld.com/s/article/9246088/Hands_on_Trying_a_3D_printer_a_beginner_s_tale?taxonomyId=12&pageNumber=1
  25. Looks good! Whatever gets you back in the saddle and building again works.
