  1. She did an awesome job Scott. I can tell she's rightly proud of it. Hope she keeps her interest.
  2. Nice bird. Good job on the foil and decals.
  3. Thanks Richard, I'll check them out.
  4. Gotta love the big iron. Nice job.
  5. Sweet rod, and eco-friendly too! Great model.
  6. Sweet!

    62 Impala

    I love it! Great job.

    1970 Camaro

Don't care for the hoops myself but excellent model. Great execution!
  9. 1974? Looks like some Virgil Exner nightmare from the '40's, but I'm strangely drawn to it. Kinda neat in a twisted way.
  10. Hey Shawn, nobody here is saying your builds are wrong. The OP asked for opinions and that's what he got. I thought your #11 Fedex car was really great, no matter the material its made of. P.S. if you think this is a tough crowd try posting over at Randy Ayers site! I love to lurk there, however.
  11. Interesting. My first car was a '66 Corvair, and I can't recall any of them through the years not having at least a driver's side mirror. When I see older ones at car shows it must be the owners have added them?
  12. X3! Great job so far.
  13. If this belongs in Q & A feel free to move it. Does anyone know of a source for aftermarket outside rearview mirrors? Harry is right, a street car just doesn't look right without them. Many of the newer tools include them but a lot of the older kits don't. I do a lot of OOB stock cars and a lot of them don't have mirrors. Wondering if anyone has found a source, mostly '50-70s?
  14. But minimum wage was $2.75 an hour so it's all relative.
  15. Pretty fancy paint for a VW ! Very nice clean build. I used to see these everywhere back in the day, now nowhere outside of a car show.
  16. Exceptional Drew. How did you get the tire lettering so realistic? They look great.
  17. That is awesome, one mean machine. Very nice work!
  18. Starting to see them on the street up here, cool little cars. Nice rendition.
  19. There is a kit of your top picture, the Dodge 700 tractor, flatbed trailer, and the '40 Ford all in one box. The bottom one I haven't seen but would be cool with the crushed cars. I haven't built the '40, it's not a great kit. The AMT version is much nicer.
  20. Impressive collection. Very nice work on all.
  21. Good assumption! Yes, I had also bought a couple of parts cars along the way and mixed/matched the best parts, then sold off grilles/trim pieces/interior parts.
  22. I have 2 so far, working on some others as we speak: First is my beloved Monte Carlo, had to sell it a couple of years ago. Undercarriage was all upgraded, engine gone through, just had bodywork and interior left when it went down the road. Second is our PT Cruiser. This is a diecast that I took apart and repainted with factory touch-up paint, not much done to it other than that. This one we're glad is gone, it was a dog! Overweight, underpowered (non-turbo), and the mileage wasn't that great. Working on my current 1:1 project, '67 Chevy short step, both real and scale.
  23. Nice cars. I miss Ernie too. He was a heckuva talent, good enough for Yates to put him in that car. The same could be said of Steve Parks, never the same after that crash at Pocono. It's a dangerous game for our entertainment.
  24. Nice, I love these big boats. Good job.
  25. Nice job. I had a '71 with a 350 that looked pretty similar, wish I still had it. Great weathering.
