    68 charger

Cool job. Love the factory stock ones.
  2. Nice work. Reminds me a lot of the 2-door 77 Caprice I had, wish I still did
  3. Thanks for all the comments guys, I really appreciate them. Skip, it's the AMT kit and yes the bumpers are sad. I haven't progressed to Alclad yet so I leave 'em alone.
  4. I thought I'd try something a little different. Instead of the top-of-the-line 500 I went for the lower optioned Town Hardtop. This is what I was shooting for: I removed the 500 trim and used thin strips of sheet to make the side trim, covered with BMF. I'm pretty pleased with how it came out. I would have never tried something like this before joining this board and being inspired by all the great builds here. Comments welcome, thanks for looking.

    '67 Impala

    I love it, great job!
  6. Add my admiration. Great job. These cars have been overlooked by the kit manufacturers for too long.
  7. That is sweet. Excellent job, just the right amount of weathering on the chassis.
  8. These are some old ones when I first got back into the hobby, c. 1985 or so. Richard's car was the first I tried using flourescent paint to match the real thing I saw at Dover in '83. Some of the decals have yellowed with age. Hope you enjoy.
  9. She did an awesome job Scott. I can tell she's rightly proud of it. Hope she keeps her interest.
  10. Nice bird. Good job on the foil and decals.
  11. Thanks Richard, I'll check them out.
  12. Gotta love the big iron. Nice job.
  13. Sweet rod, and eco-friendly too! Great model.
  14. Sweet!

    I love it! Great job.

    1970 Camaro

Don't care for the hoops myself but excellent model. Great execution!
  17. 1974? Looks like some Virgil Exner nightmare from the '40's, but I'm strangely drawn to it. Kinda neat in a twisted way.
  18. Hey Shawn, nobody here is saying your builds are wrong. The OP asked for opinions and that's what he got. I thought your #11 Fedex car was really great, no matter the material its made of. P.S. if you think this is a tough crowd try posting over at Randy Ayers site! I love to lurk there, however.
  19. Interesting. My first car was a '66 Corvair, and I can't recall any of them through the years not having at least a driver's side mirror. When I see older ones at car shows it must be the owners have added them?
  20. X3! Great job so far.
  21. If this belongs in Q & A feel free to move it. Does anyone know of a source for aftermarket outside rearview mirrors? Harry is right, a street car just doesn't look right without them. Many of the newer tools include them but a lot of the older kits don't. I do a lot of OOB stock cars and a lot of them don't have mirrors. Wondering if anyone has found a source, mostly '50-70s?
  22. But minimum wage was $2.75 an hour so it's all relative.
  23. Pretty fancy paint for a VW ! Very nice clean build. I used to see these everywhere back in the day, now nowhere outside of a car show.
  24. Exceptional Drew. How did you get the tire lettering so realistic? They look great.
  25. That is awesome, one mean machine. Very nice work!
