  1. @kelson Yes, and I heard it's great for converting the Pro Stock Lincoln Mark VII LSC into showroom stock which is something I want to do one day.
  2. Thank you everyone for the compliment! Much appreciated!

  4. This is a 1/24 scale sports car series from Tamiya. This model kit is curbside, but everything fits like Lego just like all Japanese kits do. I built it as the 1991 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 with LHD. The kit also comes with a separate RHD dashboard that you can install and decals to make this the Japanese market Mitsubishi GTO Twin Turbo.
  5. I got the front bumper and the grille from this pickup.
  6. New photos taken out in the sun shows the paint much better.

  9. New build. A 1/24 scale Monogram model kit. Red on red, and finished with SprayMax 2K clear coat. 1987 Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe
  10. Another new build. AMT 1/25 scale 1964 Chrysler Imperial in Royal Ruby with red interior. Finished with SprayMax 2K clear coat. This arrived in the mail in February and the good thing is the original builder didn't paint the body and only assembled the car with a mix of stock and custom parts. The glues used during the sixties appears to be one that melts section of the plastic so I had to do some repairs using body filler. I replaced the kit's custom wheels(I know those are from the kit because they're shown in the instructions) with spare wheels I had leftover from the Moebius '61 Pontiac Catalina kit. It's really hard to find the original Imperial wheel covers because these Imperial models themselves are extremely tough to find. For now these Poncho wheels will do and keeps the car in its time period. Kind of like a Day Two car.
  11. 1/25 scale AMT 1962 Chrysler Imperial Crown Convertible in Sage Green Poly and Jade interior.

  13. @TyremanNice Mustang II and looks like somewhere in Europe. That black Mustang belongs to another enthusiast. No problem at all. I meant the way you said everyone likes the Avanti including non car people was an interesting view. I guess it has its fans in Europe as the car has some 'European flavour' to it. However the Avanti doesn't appear to have enough fans here in North America. It's quite different compared to other American cars of the era and also those that came after it a decade or two later. Sales were poor and the companies that tried to keep the car in production after Studebaker went out of business didn't have much luck either.
  14. 1/25 scale MPC 1980 Chevrolet Monza 2+2 dealership promotional model in Camel Metallic. I sprayed the body with SprayMax 2K clearcoat after taking the whole car apart including the lights and glass. These old MPC promos of the Chevy Monza are still affordable enough for just about any model builders to grab one and do the same!
  15. 1/25 scale MPC dealer promo model of the 1980 Chevrolet Monza 2+2 in Light Blue Metallic that was taken apart, detailed, and put back together. I sprayed the body with SprayMax 2K clearcoat. Monzas look really ahead of their time considering these body shape came out in 1975. People likely saw these on the road as early as mid to late '74 and must have been a sensation. One great thing about these Monza promos is that they are still plentiful and cheap enough for everyone here to own one and you can detail them up the same way.
  16. Thank you everyone for the compliment! Much appreciated!
  17. @TyremanThanks! That's an interesting way to look at it. Definitely one of designer Raymond Loewy's great designs. I saw a real one a few years ago. They're stunning in person!
  18. @TyremanThanks! It's an older build that was refurbished. This yellow Avanti is a reissued version of the kit from many years ago. My green Avanti is the original from '63 which was in pieces in the box and the original builder had the engine partially wired with threads which is where the idea for the yellow car came from.
  19. @DraglineThanks! I would say go for it and I'm sure you'll enjoy the build. It's a very well engineered kit for its time.

  22. New build - 1/25 scale AMT 1965 Chrysler Imperial Crown Coupe in Frost Turquoise Irid. with Persian White vinyl top. The body is sprayed with SprayMax 2K clear coat and the spare custom grille will be installed in my other '65 which the original builder turned into a pickup.
  23. 1/25 scale AMT 1964 Studebaker Avanti in custom Chrome Yellow with black interior.
  24. 1/25 scale AMT 1963 Studebaker Avanti in Green Mist Irid with black and dark brown interior. Finished with SprayMax 2K clear coat.
