  1. Thank you everyone for the compliment! Much appreciated!
  2. The rare Farrah's Foxy Vette kit from AMT. The real car is 1 of 1 and still exists today. Built by George Barris for Farrah Fawcett-Majors, one of the most famous and loved ladies from Charlie's Angels. The interior was a tough one. Simulated the mink carpeting on the real car by using flocking on the kit. The telephone was borrowed from the '65 Lincoln Continental kit, steering wheel from a '68 El Camino kit, and TV was scrath built, with the lower part(VCR/eight track player, not sure what was that on the actual car) coming from a '70 Galaxie kit's CB unit. The original seventies decals disintegrated when dipped in water, so I used spray paint, marker, pen and brushwork to recreate all the graphics on the body.
  3. This 4x4 is ready to explore any terrain. 1979 Subaru Brat. A reissued AMT/Matchbox 1/25 kit from Round 2.
  4. @swede70Thanks for sharing and your model looks nice too! For decals I have one of his MOPAR Engine Bay Decals sheet. I like your idea of using parts from the MPC Volare kit/promo to make this MotorMax model more realistic. I might like to try that one day.
  5. @DannoThanks! That's awesome! I enhanced the appearance of a similar die cast vehicle in Royal Canadian Mounted Police(RCMP) livery which I'll post here another day. I think you'll enjoy seeing that model car.
  6. Thank you everyone for the compliment! Much appreciated!
  7. @lordairgtarThanks! That color combination was offered in the real cars.
  8. Thank you everyone for the compliment! Much appreciated!
  9. AMT 1/25 scale 1966 Ford Fairlane GTA in Ivy Green Metallic with green interior and black vinyl top.
  10. AMT 1964 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 in Tahitian Yellow exterior combined with red interior.
  11. @scootsmgootsThanks! That's done with some brown & copper paint from a jar applied with toothpick.
  12. Thank you everyone for the compliment! Much appreciated! @Jim B It would be fun to convert one of these four doors into a two door coupe or even the station wagon. I might try that for a future build.

  15. 1981 Dodge Diplomat Medallion Four Door Sedan painted in Day Star Blue Poly in 1/24 scale. This is a Motormax die cast that I took apart and detailed. Completely painted engine bay using a combination of spray paint & brush paint, Decals made by Rays Kits based in the Netherlands, a few scratch built brackets, clamps, wiring, and hoses added, all chrome trim that Motormax originally painted silver were covered in Bare Metal Foil, completely painted interior with full carpeting, and hood vents highlighted with dilluted black paint, hood insulation, floor painted and detailed, and finally made brake lines with thin metal wires. Installed roof liner, sun visors, straps, and dome lamp for the interior. The door inserts have plush carpeting at the bottom and I added windshield tint & seat belts. In Canada these were called Plymouth Caravelle Salon. These interiors are nicely crafted by Motormax. You can separate the front and rear door inserts which makes detailing them quite easy. I sprayed on simulated dust on the floor pieces to give the appearance that the car was driven for a while after it left the showroom. With a little bit of work these basic models can be turned into highly detailed models.
  16. Great looking build! I need to get one of these.
  17. Beautiful build! One of my dream cars!
  18. Great looking restoration! I didn't know about this forum all those years ago when you posted this model, so this is the first time I'm seeing this build.
  19. Great model! Love everything that went into this creation!
  20. Unique! Those square headlights on your Mustang reminds me of those two custom Mustangs built by George Barris for Bonny & Cher back in the sixties.
