1976 Chevrolet Camaro Rally Sport
RACINE ISHRAQUR RAZA replied to RACINE ISHRAQUR RAZA's topic in Model Cars
Thank you everyone for the compliment! Much appreciated! -
This is my 1/25 scale AMT 1976 Chevrolet Camaro Rally Sport equipped with 165 horsepower 350 cubic inch engine and 3 speed Hydra-Matic. Decals are from Rays Kits based in the Netherlands. Can't wait to take it out for a spin and play some of the latest hits of its year in the 8 track player, such as...Disco Duck, Dancing Queen, Disco Lady, Daddy Cool, or Turn the Beat Around.

Thank you everyone for the compliment! Much appreciated! @Leica007Carpeting attached with epoxy. It comes in a tube with resin on one side and hardener on the other side. Pressing down on the plunger slowly will dispense equal parts of both. Once mixed it's good for about five minutes until it hardens. I like the epoxy because it allows you to adjust and also the finished job is much more cleaner than if you use super glue. The super glue does react with felt and can leave unsightly stain if not used carefully.

This is a restoration of a 1/25 scale Revell Charlie's Angels van. Some pics here shows how it was when I rescued it. It was dirty & covered in fingerprints & glue stains. Wet sanded the edges and deleted parting lines. Rubbing compound was used on the body, but not the decals. The whole thing was polished with Meguiar's wax to bring the faded beauty to showroom condition. Painted some of the chassis components and added raised letter tires after reattaching the wheels. Also added all the door, vent, and hood cut lines. I'm leaving the interior & exterior mostly the way the original owner built it, because the person did a fairly decent job other than the stains on the body and some glass. Added window moldings, side markers and script detailing to my 1976 Charlie's Angels Chevy van. Also carefully touched up missing areas of the decals on both sides with a brush and flat black paint from a jar. Looks more finished now. Good thing there were no stains on that shag carpet!

This is my 1977 Ford Econoline Chateau Cruising Van made from the AMT 1/25 scale 1977 Ford Cruising Van kit. Complete with carpeted interior, seat belts, wood trim, CB radio, 8 track player, etc. The kit allows you to build the '76 or the '77 van as decals for both vans are included in the box. I discovered there are two lights on the headliner and much of the interior is draped in grey shag carpeting. One thing to note is the plastic kit has sliding door on the passenger side, but the actual Cruising Van has barn doors. I already painted both of my '76 and '77 vans, therefore not incorporating the barn doors on mine for now, but other builders can go the extra mile & make them hundred percent authentic. Paint is Tamiya Silver Leaf and flat black spray paint finished with clearcoat. The correct wheels for the '77 Cruising Van is included in the kit.

The Slotted Mag wheels came from parts stash. The Ford Pinto wagon kits comes with those wheels and also you can get a set on ebay too. Paint is Tamiya Silver Leaf and flat black spray paint finished with clearcoat.

Presenting my 1/25 scale MPC 1974 Plymouth Road Runner in Lucerne Blue Poly that was completed last year.

Here's a build from a year ago. 1974 Plymouth Barracuda in Lucerne Blue Poly. This is my idea of what Mike Brady(Robert Reed) would drive if The Brady Bunch had continued for another season beyond March 1974. This is one car with a solid roof that Bobby Brady(Mike Lookinland) cannot ruin with his umbrella! There's one episode where Bobby, Greg, and his girlfriend are at the Drive-In and Bobby opens the umbrella when the top is going up. The sharp end of the umbrella rips the convertible top. The dude behind the wheel is the disco era man from the 1976 Dodge Dart kit. I took off a small slice of his belly and his bottom with a Dremel to make him slightly lower to fit inside my 1974 Barracuda. Prior to that his head was hitting the roof and the interior tub wouldn't close like it should.
