@TyremanNice Mustang II and looks like somewhere in Europe. That black Mustang belongs to another enthusiast. No problem at all. I meant the way you said everyone likes the Avanti including non car people was an interesting view. I guess it has its fans in Europe as the car has some 'European flavour' to it. However the Avanti doesn't appear to have enough fans here in North America. It's quite different compared to other American cars of the era and also those that came after it a decade or two later. Sales were poor and the companies that tried to keep the car in production after Studebaker went out of business didn't have much luck either.

1/25 scale MPC 1980 Chevrolet Monza 2+2 dealership promotional model in Camel Metallic. I sprayed the body with SprayMax 2K clearcoat after taking the whole car apart including the lights and glass. These old MPC promos of the Chevy Monza are still affordable enough for just about any model builders to grab one and do the same!

1/25 scale MPC dealer promo model of the 1980 Chevrolet Monza 2+2 in Light Blue Metallic that was taken apart, detailed, and put back together. I sprayed the body with SprayMax 2K clearcoat. Monzas look really ahead of their time considering these body shape came out in 1975. People likely saw these on the road as early as mid to late '74 and must have been a sensation. One great thing about these Monza promos is that they are still plentiful and cheap enough for everyone here to own one and you can detail them up the same way.

Thank you everyone for the compliment! Much appreciated! -
@TyremanThanks! That's an interesting way to look at it. Definitely one of designer Raymond Loewy's great designs. I saw a real one a few years ago. They're stunning in person!

@TyremanThanks! It's an older build that was refurbished. This yellow Avanti is a reissued version of the kit from many years ago. My green Avanti is the original from '63 which was in pieces in the box and the original builder had the engine partially wired with threads which is where the idea for the yellow car came from.
-
@DraglineThanks! I would say go for it and I'm sure you'll enjoy the build. It's a very well engineered kit for its time.

@WillyBilly Thanks! Motormax also made a Plymouth Horizon and I was fortunate to get one. I'll be detailing that one in the same way and once complete I'll share it here.

1977 Plymouth Volare Road Runner
RACINE ISHRAQUR RAZA replied to RACINE ISHRAQUR RAZA's topic in Model Cars
@MusclecarsThanks! The MPC '80 Plymouth Volare Road Runner Fuzz Duster kit was reissued, but the MPC '77 Plymouth Volare Road Runner was never reissued. Round2 is doing a great job bringing old kits back to the store shelf so maybe one day we'll get the '77 reissued for the first time in nearly fifty years. I do have two '80 that I'll try to restore. I got the rebuilders because just like you said the reissued one which are '80 models, the last year for the Volare are getting pricey. -

@TyremanThanks so much! I love underappreciated cars and you'll see many more from me in the future. -
1982 Chevrolet Cavalier Type 10 hatchback in Silver Metallic. It's a built up original dealership promotional model. The '82 promo was available in silver and black, but the similar '83 were all painted silver only.

1985 Dodge Omni GLH-T. Restored & detailed this 1/24 scale die cast by MotorMax. Well there's not way too much to detail on this. MotorMax did an excellent job with this model to begin with. The things I added are full interior carpeting, highlighting the mushroom shaped door locks and window cranks, installing seat belts, window tint, painting the engine bay to match body paint and then painting the rest of the stuff under the hood to make them look more realistic, under hood insulation, and making the antenna with metal wire. As the chassis was broken in many pieces I super glued the whole thing and coated with epoxy for strength inside, then painted the chassis flat black, and finally painted the gas tank and exhaust.
