I just went to HLJ and the built diecast is $567 on current exchange rates so its going to be interesting to see how that price is going to compare with this new unbuilt version when it comes to market in Japan. I have yet
to find any date as to when this will become available. Have to keep an eye on HLJ new announcements page.
Tamiya america is now showing the new kits on its website including the re release of the Ferrari 312B in 1/12. The Ferrari Enzo is an assembly kit of their previous semi assembled die cast model
The MSRP of the Enzo $610... ouch!!!!

The Nuremberg Toy Fair opens tomorrow and the tamiya blog will be reporting live so it will be interesting to see what Tamiya comes up with.
They will be re releasing the 1/12 Lotus 72 as well. Its been decades since this one was last in Tamiyas' catalogue

I'd love to see it as a plastic kit but its most likely another of Tamiyas' very expensive semi assembled premium die cast models.
Tamiya already have an Enzo in that range so I'm thinking this new 'Special Edition' will be another version of that.
I've just got his 49 Ford chopped top and 34 Ford coupe tracknose and both are very nice castings. With a bit of cleanup of flash they are all but good to go.
No pinholes in either and both are free of any twist or warpage. Panel lines are all nice and straight but could do with a little deepening in places.
Both of these exceed my expectations and I think were great value.
I placed my first order with MegaHobby last month and they provided an excellent service keeping me well informed at every step. Package was in my hands in a week and that was all the way to New Zealand
I used to deal with ModelRoundup and though they provided a good service they don't have the range that MegaHobby carries.
I've been using one of these paint booths for about 6 months now. Enamels, lacquers, 2 pack, It has handle them all with out an issue, and GeeBees trick of lining it with grease proof paper is something I'll get onto right away.
