Nice build of a challenging kit Chris. I've built the Auto Union and Ferrari 500 Casadio kits and know all to well how bad the factory paint jobs are and the need to constantly test fit to get things aligned. I found the metal they were manufactured from was hard and quite difficult to work with compared to the metal of Model Factory Hiro kits.
  2. I would have to question the drivability of some of these cars this type of culture creates
  3. Some of the Satco tires are being reproduced by the Modelhaus (with Satcos' permission ). The wide whites are #T428
  4. Thank you for your contribution. I'm sure being a moderator would be thankless task.
  5. Its becoming all but impossible to purchase Isopropyl Alcohol over here now. I've been told its being restricted as its used in the manufacture of methamphetamine
  6. The Japanese can take their cars to extremes. There is an explanation of the cultures here http://www.retroscen...-that-jazz.aspx
  7. For my squaring duties I purchased a couple of adjustable squares and by adding one to the other I have a quick and easy way get things aligned. This works a treat on getting the rear wings on F1 cars squared up too.
  8. It captures the look of the real car well. I'm hoping to see a version with the fat fender flares released.
  9. Very sharp build. Well done
  10. This just arrived from Model Express. Dennis once again providing an excellent service. The sprint car is the second example of this kit I have purchased. This one has the same molding issue the other kit I purchased from another source a couple of months ago has. Not good enough Revell.
  11. Tamiyas' Mini is a great kit that falls together. Its going to be interesting to see how the up coming Revell Germany kit compares
  12. I can see a huge amount of work has gone in to this one. Superb build
  13. They are nice clean builds. Very impressive.
  14. I agree with the others suggesting spoon tests. It is a quick and easy way to determine exactly what a color will turn out like before committing to actually painting your car.
  15. Its rare to see a built one. Well done
  16. Well done. That is really clean build
  17. Very nice build of a rarely seen subject
  18. Nice to see whitewall inserts. Every kit I have purchased with tampo printed whitewalls has at least one or more that has a defect like being off centred, smeared ink ect.
  19. My local hobby shop has the Enzo in stock with a price tag of NZ$699. That converts to US$567. Ouch !!!
  20. Couldn't agree more on the wiper and door handles. Molded in wipers in particular just look plain crude.
  21. Thanks for sharing
  22. Nice pix. Thanks for posting
  23. That is looking really good. I'm waiting for delivery of the same kit.
