  1. The whole idea of this was a publicity stunt to draw the local populations attention to the regions animal welfare organization ( SPCA ) and the homeless dogs confined within. The dogs in the video were all inmates of the shelter and have since found loving homes. http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=10851829
  2. I've got a number of books here I've purchased over time and four in particular that I've always considered to be well worth the price of admission are... Building and Detailing Scale Model Motorcars by Bill Coulter Building Better Scale Model Cars and Trucks by Pat Covert The Modeller's Guide to Scale Automotive Finishes by Pat Covert Custom Car Modeling by Mark S Gustavson I purchased these new when they were released back in the 1990s. I don't know what the current availability would be
  3. You need a moisture trap. Readily available from a hardware store like Bunnings.
  4. I've used gravity and suction airbrushes and haven't been able to see any difference. An internal mix airbrush does make things easier though as it atomizes the paint better allowing you to lay down lighter coats.
  5. Model Cars Magazine has a video on YouTube to assist in getting you up to speed on using Alclad. Its just a matter of having the glossiest base coat you can achieve and then laying down light coats, hold the airbrush at a angle as shown in the video [media=]
  6. You will really need to post those photos Amith before anyone can assist with solutions to your problem. I answered your thread on the same subject on another forum and have been waiting for you to post photos. I know you have the hobby Design trans kit. This companies resin trans kits have challenged myself and many others with their fit and warping issues. They can be built, its really just a matter of patiently analyzing the best approach to correcting the issues. This is my Hobby Design Hamann Fiat trans kit. I ended up having to straighten the side skirt then cut it in half and add a couple of mm of spacing to get everything in to shape.
  7. Thanks for the review. I will definitely be buying a copy
  8. Thanks for that. It's the first time I have sighted it. I downloaded it without any issues
  9. Teds Modeling Market place has a number of 1/16 tires listed. I've never dealt with them so can't comment on the parts http://www.tedsmodel...s/catId=4244307
  10. The 2008 movie ' Sunshine Cleaning ' has a couple of scenes shot in a room full of built and unbuilt kitsets and the one armed actor is working on sanding a fuselage http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0862846/
  11. Those colors just look so right. Well built
  12. Its surprising to see Revell doing this kit since Tamiya have had several versions on the market for years. I'm another who is looking forward to getting a copy to compare the two.
  13. Dennis has always been a 100% reliable retailer. My orders always arrived in New Zealand well packed and in a timely manner. Very sorry to see him closing.
  14. Over here my LHS is charging US$12.26 for a tamiya spray or NZ$15. The larger cans of Tamiya primer are US$18.70 or NZ$22.90 I no longer support my local hobby shops, I really can't afford to. I either import Zero paints or decant Duplicolor or the like. Don't get me going on their inflated kit prices either. Thankfully, the internet has a opened the door to buying online at the same prices as every one else does.
  15. Thanks for sharing the history. I'll be starter for every version Revell releases.
  16. That is a very nice build. I wish tamiya would reissue this kit.
  17. You won the battle on that one. You can be justifiably proud of that build.
  18. Go to YouTube and type in air brush compressor review. There is plenty of videos of these compressors so you can get an idea of noise and features.
  19. I too have had the wriggles while trying to cut narrow pieces with my mitre box. The 2 sided tape is one of those too easy tricks that makes me wonder why I couldn't have thought of it.
  20. That is a well done and informative tutorial. Great stuff and thanks for sharing.
  21. Now that would be nice to cruise in
  22. Scale Motorsports still hasn't released their Components for the 1/12 Shelby. The photos have shown a wheel kit but there is no mention of it on their website. http://store.scalemo...duct_Code=gt500
  23. hobbyLink Japan carries Micron masking tape. It looks and handles like tamiyas' masking tape and widths start at 0.4mm (1/63inch ) http://www.hlj.com/s...ng tape&x=0&y=0
