  1. Thats a sharp looking Porsche. From the issue you had with the tail lights I'm guessing you used the same plastic glue you used to assemble the kit with. Next time I would use a PVA wood glue or similar. These should be available from any hardware store and as they are water based they don't damage the plastic like solvent glues will when attaching clear parts. Micro Kristal Clear is a similar glue that is sold through Hobby Shops. http://www.microscale.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=MI-9&Category_Code=FINPROD&Product_Count=8
  2. I've never dealt with them directly but have purchased their product off Hobby Link Japan and MediaMix. The quality of everything I've got with their name on it is excellent.
  3. Thanks for the pix. Looks like very nice work.
  4. Nice and clean. Looks a treat.
  5. Hiros' new Lightweight Series are curbside with reduced parts. They are still multi media kits. This is their description of the recently released Lightweight Series Abarth http://www.modelfactoryhiro.com/new/en/archives/11145

    Renault 5 Turbo

    Well done
  7. Been there, done that. Usually, If I had just read the instructions I wouldn't have end up with an issue
  8. I've been using one of those booths for a few years now throwing everything from lacquers to 2k at it without any issues. I did think that their replacement filters were too expensive so I went to a specialist filter retailer and purchased a square metre of equivalent material then just cut them to size with scissors Worked out at less than $2 a filter.
  9. It was built from a 2010 reissue of the original Tarantula kit. It was molded in green plastic. I used body filler to reshape the nose to look like a 60s dragster.
  10. Nice use of color. That looks really sharp.
  11. I'll X5 on removing that lacquer clear coat. I've been surprised myself at how sharp some of the detail is once the ' dipped in treacle ' coating is removed
  12. i've never sighted these but believe they are a re pop of the old Merit kits from the 1950s. Correct me if I'm wrong.
  13. This is my resin Fisher Model and Pattern 69 Ferrari 312P. A simple kit of few pieces that assembles up with out any dramas I opened up all the air intakes, added various details, replaced the resin tires with MFH sports car tires and used Sakatsu wheel nuts The supplied Fisher decals were of poor quality so they were replaced with similar Cartograf/ MFH decals.
  14. This is my take on Monograms' Trantula. I reshaped the nose, changed the headers and put on a pair of Pegasus Hobbies funny car front rims. It was airbrushed Duplicolor Mirage purple/ green.
  15. This one is Revells' 1/6 scale engine kit of a Ford cammer. These engine kits build up with a minimum of drama and are very solid with a lot of the parts being die cast by the look of them. I changed the plug wires and gave it a light weathering to show how it would look after a few runs but otherwise its out of the box.
  16. I fabricated the block and added some Hobby Design hex fittings
  17. Bumpers were done in Tamiya AS-12 Bare Metal Silver
  18. I must have seen dozens of these built up over the years on this forum so I was inspired to do one myself. I found this kit to be a bit of a fiddle in some places but generally went together without much effort. I rounded the rear wheel arches and changed to Competition Resins front and rear wheels to make it a bit different from the crowd. Rear wing was scratch built from aluminum.
  19. The wheels were sprayed with Alclad Magnesium, given a wash with Tamiya smoke enamel then given a coat of Alclad Klear Kote Flat.
  20. I'm sure we are all familiar with Revells' Willys kit by now. This is my take on it. A straight forward kit that builds up nice and easy.
  21. This the nearest thing to Tuners that I have built. Aoshimas' Honda City Turbo R and Fujimis' Fiat Abarth with a Hobby Design body kit.
  22. Love it. Well done.
  23. I've been doing it like this for years, but using Blu Tack, and can second that its a simple fool proof method.
  24. I got my order from The Modelhaus. Chopped 40 Ford body for the Revell kit and a 53 Chev grille.
